Has anyone tried the GF hamburger buns at DL?

My 13yo has a gluten allergy, so he would love to be able to order the burgers with a GF bun, but I don't want to order them if they are dry/crumbly. Has anyone tried them? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure my parents had a burger when we visited the resort with them last summer, and that my mom liked the bun. She's GF too, and I know she's always looking for places that have good breads. I swear I remember her saying that it was good.

I'm pretty sure the bun we got at Carnation was Udi's. If you're worried about it crumbling you could order it without a bun, or bun on the side so you can evaluate it first. Most GF baked goods don't hold together as well, that's just how it seems to be.

Thanks! Udi's is okay for toast, but maybe not a bun. I'll see what I can find out when we are there. I've been able to make or find great gluten free muffins, cakes, pies, etc., but when it comes to hamburger buns, we have been striking out!

Dd has celiac & loves the buns at DLR. Some places said they used Udis dough to make fresh buns, some said they had a local bakery. Either way, they were fine & not crumbly. And I've never noticed the Udis buns we buy at home to be crumbly either.

My niece and nephew still rave about the GF hamburger they had at Taste Pilots at DCA back in 2013.

I'm glad to hear about the fresh dough. That's likely to up the quality by a lot, even for udis. I'm going to have to be fairly careful when we go so the more options there are, the less I'll regret a mickey beignet.

I do know that Pizza Port in Tomorrowland will make you a personal sized gluten free pizza and that it's delicious. They cook it away and off of anything that gluten items are cooked on

and this is a gluten free list provided by the park: http://disney-eats.blogspot.com/p/disneyland-parks-gluten-free-list.html
That's a really old list. Several of those items haven't been available for a year or 2. Definitely recheck everything when you order, as there may be some new ingredient or something new in the kitchen that could cross contaminate.

I love the buns there. Granted I'm not picky since I'm pretty happy any time I can get a gf bun. But I've had them at Taste Pilots, Carnation Cafe, and Tomorrowland Terrace and they were all good.
