I just ordered the kit on-line and looking forward to trying it out. The site also has message boards for info, support and menus. I read an article about it in one of the supermarket magazines and it sounded interesting.

Just wondering if anyone has tried it...??

I seen it on TV and it seemed very interesting.

Also interested to see if anyone has had success with it.

My friend lost over 50 pounds on it but it is VERY difficult to stick to. Very rigid in the eating plan.

I have a friend who lost about 60 pounds on it, but since she is a picky eater, especially with respect to veggies, there wasn't much from the food lists that she liked. She ate a lot of chicken, rice, and dry salads.

It was hard to sustain and she has unfortunately gained most of it back.

She is an "apple" shape. I would be interested in seeing what foods are listed for more of a "pear" shaped person . . .

I bought the program as well. and like most have posted, it is so restrictive it is hard to stick too.. Minnie Moo, fish, fish, and more fish - barely eat chicken... no red meats... and rice, brown rice... (not many other grains btw, oats is ok, eggs, no yolks..)

The idea/rationale is sound... eat more protein, more often... eat every 2 hours... but its still about portion control... eat before a workout to give your body the fuel it needs... dont let your body go into starvation mode. Condiments are filled with sodium, sodium is not our friend, so many processed foods have so much sodium, hidden sodium, its shocking... or sugar, lots of sugar/cornsyrup is also hidden in lots of condiments/salad dressings... no milk or milk products (it goes back to the saying look at the calf raised only on mothers milk - and how much a calf gains in one year... dont let that happen to you... but that's my interpretation btw!)

I didnt stick with the program, because my mind wasnt in the right frame... and I did really enjoy their message boards btw, lots of helpful posters, all kind, all supportive...

I did learn quite a lot, and I hope to apply what I learned to this phase of weight loss.

I tried it for just under a week- but I could not stick with it. NO salt. NO dairy. NO sugar. NO fats or oils. NO bread or pasta. AT ALL.

I was a pear, so I was allowed: rice, greens, fish, turkey, chicken, egg whites, grapefruit and berries.

I counted out the calories and each day I was eating under 800 calories. I became very irritable (and I'm usually pretty happy and easy going). After breaking down into tears and shaking from low blood sugar, and alienating my boyfriend, family and friends, I knew it wasn't worth it. I think it is too restrictive. I think the ideas are sound (more protein, fruits and veggies, less starches, sugars, fat and salt) but I don't think it's possible to spend a lifetime on it. How many days of egg whites, turkey or fish (only 2-3 oz. per meal, too!) without so much as a light salad dressing, salsa or mustard to liven it up can one person stand?

I would recommend buying 6 day body makeover before buying the expensive plan. 90% of the info is in the cheaper book (minus those blueprinting cards). I think "eat more and exercise less" is false advertising, BTW. Sorry. I really wanted it to work for me, too.

Thanks for the additional information, Eeyore and Lulu! Good to know. It would be interesting to see how that food list compares to the full list for apple-shaped people. My friend couldn't remember what all was on the list besides the stuff she would eat.

I didn't realize there was also a book out. I'll have to check it out the next time I'm in the book store.
