I've not heard of them before - but I've emailed them for a quote as well as that price seems very good !

They're ATOL protected but I can't find any ABTA number on the site - that might be worth checking out.

I'm still waiting for them to get back to me.
I sent an EMail last night and have still not heard anything yet.
My first enquiry took around 24 hours to receive a reply from them so I guess we just have to be patient.

I HAVE BEEN GIVEN A PRICE FOR CHRISTMAS 2004.
SAME DEAL AS ABOVE, FLYING UNITED AIRLINE, £2349!!!
MY ONLY CONCERN IS THERE IS NO ABTA SYMBOL, THERE IS A ATOL SYMBOL ALONG WITH A COUPLE OF OTHERS.
AHAT DOES ANYONE THINK?
LIN

Had my quote back from them, 17 nights fly drive, 2 ad ,2 ch £1299 much cheaper than anything I've managed to find - and their car insurance package is much cheaper than Virgin's :Pinkbounc

Have emailed them back to see if they can give me any info on the airlines and asked about ABTA registration.

Their reply.......

Regarding who we are bonded with, we are members of the Travel Trust Association (TTA), who offer exactly the same securities and guarantees as ABTA, you would also be ATOL protected with this reservation... you can not get any better security with your booking!

Does anyone know about TTA ? Can't say I'm familiar with it !

I am very tempted at these prices but would like to hear from someone who has heard of them.
That flydrive deal sounds pretty good.
Have you tried Travelcity?
http:// www.travelcity.com.
We are going in January with them on a flydrive and found their prices very good.
There is 12 of us going and we got 4 flights for £198 inclusive of taxes.11 at £238 incl and the baby for £75. The 15 seater bumped the price up as that was £996 for the 2 weeks but that is all additional drivers and all taxes as well.
We are renting our own villa but i think next time we go which will be christmas 04, we will have the whole package, unless this skydeals is any good

Travel City only do 7/14/21 night stays don't they - those are the only options on the quote form on the website?

No.......I just got 15 days with Travel City!!:D :D :D

Hi Tracey,
I have looked up the TTC on the search engine and it is a legitimate company and looks like it is the same as ABTA
http//traveltrust.co.uk.
I would still like to hear from customers to see what the villas are like inside.
( one speck of grime and I'm gone!!!)

I'm seriously p****d off at this point. My wife tried to book 21 night 2-centre holiday with Travel City. "We don't do 21 days" she was told. OK, so she books a fly-drive with Virgin for £2500, and we'll book the villas seperately. This morning I get a quote from Skydeck for £2200, accomodation included.

Has anybody tried to cancel a Virgin holiday ? Our deposit is £600 !

Hi Sid
I understand how P****d off you must be feeling!
I tried to cancel my booking for last September as my mum was terminally ill and was expected to pass away at the christmas.
My holiday was booked for 1st-15th December with Virgin
(My mum passed away on 13 Dec so I'm really glad we changed the dates!)
They had no sympathy even when I offered to produce medical proof.
Anyway it was too much money to lose and so we moved it back to September and they had the cheek to charge me £20 pp.
So the answer is NO WAY will you get your £600 back but I think you might be better off cancelling and going with Skydeck as once you add your villas on top, I think you will probably still have it cheaper than hiring privateand paying Virgin. I suppose it depends on when you are going and how many people to the size and cost of the villa.

Wow! These are incredible prices (I just saw Beths quote on the other thread) - so incredible infact that it raises something of a red flag for me.

Has anyone actually heard anything from someone who's traveled successfully with these people?

I've never heard of the TTA either, I'd like to know more about them as an alternative to ABTA before I made any decisions too.

Remember, if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is - I'd love to be proved wrong though!!!

I was thinking that also, and have decided to stick with virgin for this holiday, when we go next time i will shop around...
It seems a little "too good to be true!" but if someone has successfully flown with them and booked etc i'd be happy to hear your opinions.

The flights I was quoted for were AA via Chicago - Sky deck are about £50 per person cheaper than Expedia.

That include as optional Midsize car (Dollar/Alamo). Insurance charges for a midsize are £149 per week for

Option 1: Unlimited mileage, Loss Damage Waiver, Supplementary Liability Insurance, Theft protection and all local taxes and airport fees, all are based on 1 driver except minivans which include an extra driver free of charge.

Or £89 per week for

Option 3: Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver and Theft protection, all are based on 1 driver, except minivans which includes an extra driver free of charge. Local taxes will have to be paid on arrival at a cost of approx $9 total per day per vehicle.

I had to laugh at their website - it's remarkably similar to the Virgin colour scheme, isn't it? ;)

I must admit that the low prices, together with the lack of feedback from any satisfied customers, makes me wary, but if they're a new company it will obviously take a while for any feedback to filter through. I'm sure Travel City Direct were on the periphery for a long time before they were considered established - and look at the business they get now!
