Has anyone taken their own porta crib?

I would love to take my own porta crib from home but I'm afraid it would either get ruined from being thrown around or just be a big pain to deal with. Has anyone taken their own porta crib with them when they fly or do you just use Disney's? Also...are Disney's fairly clean (I would of course bring my own crib sheets)?

We have always used teh Disney packnplays (when we used to need them) and brought clean sheets.....I never had any problem..

We took our own pack n play to Disney this past July and I have travelled with it once before. When we checked our luggage at the airport they put the pack n play (which was in a case) inside a huge plastic bag and taped it up. It made to Disney without any problems. There are two reasons when we chose to take our own. It was because it was the busy season and I was afraid the hotel might run out and also I didn't know what condition the hotel's would in. I hope this helps.

We always used Disney's porta cribs and our own sheets and they have been great. First two times the crib was brand new - or very close to it and the other times just slightly used and very clean. I know that every room in the cabins has a port a crib and I am sure they have plenty on hand. You can add this request to your reservation to be sure its available when you arrive. Personally, I feel that traveling with baby requires lugging enough stuff without lugging anything extra.

Also, Disney provides a sheet. We've never taken our own sheets; we use the one provided for the Pack N Play (It's Disney themed)

Yes they do provide a nice fitting sheet but I always chose to bring my own. When my girls were young they got comfort from the sheet as it was washed at home and thus a familiar smell. I have had trouble in other resorts (not wdw) with the sheets not fitting. Some places don't use crib sheets so I was already in the habit of bringing my own just in case.

Another idea is to rent either a pack n play or a full size crib- we just rented cribs from a company called Baby's Best Friend 888-461-2229. We are staying for 2 weeks with 2 babies and wanted to make sure they have restful nights. This company is great and everything is delivered right to your door and is spotless.
