Has anyone stayed @ Wyndham Cypress Palms recently?

We are researching properties for our trip in late April and this was one that is available during our week at a really good rate (booked through the travel agency on base).. Has anyone been there recently? We'd be staying in a 2 br.

We stayed at Wyndham Bonnet Creek in a 2 br in 2011 and loved it. I was kinda hoping this resort is as nice or nice enough as it is about $250 less for the week than bonnet creek was through VS and we can book through the agent on base.

We went to Orlando last July with several other families. We stayed at WBC and 2 of the other familes stayed at WCP. One family rented points and the other family used their RCI points to stay there. There were no complaints at all from either of them. They liked it and would stay again. I can tell you that both families are 5 star hotel types.

The only thing that did come up was that the family that rented points had never done so before and were not aware that they didn't get housekeeping daily. The truly funny part of that was that the wife was fine with it but the hubby was the unhappy one.....he didn't like having to load the dishwasher

We just stayed in October. It is definitely not like WBC. A couple of ordinary pools, no lazy rivers. If you can accept that it's not at the same level as WBC, you may be happy there. We found it to be very quiet. Pools were a little cold. Location was good, close to Disney and lots of restaurants. We had a two bedroom lock-off unit. Loved having two kitchens, two washers and dryers, etc. Balcony was screened. Beds were comfortable. The unit was mostly clean, except for really dirty carpets. We had to wear flip-flops all week long because the carpets left our socks black. Then our flip-flops would track the dirt from the carpets onto the tiled floors. We didn't want to move to another unit because we were afraid they might give us an older unit that hadn't been updated. Despite the carpets we would probably be willing to stay there again if we got another deal like last time.

I've stayed there a lot. 3 times last year, last one in November. Love the place. Never had any problems with them except for the elevators. Had trouble with them being down a couple times. Now I just request a room on the ground floor. I'll being staying there again in April.
