Hi,
I see info on the kennels and more specific, people taking their dogs and staying onsite with them. I think it is wonderful that the resorts are pet friendly. Anyone taken their cat??? Does the cat have to go to the kennel or can it stay in the room while you are gone??
I have a 16 year old cat that I am considering taking. We are staying at the HRH in May. She would be driving down with us. She is a GREAT car rider, has ridden since she was teeny. Anyhow, she has been in a kennel twice in her life, this past Christmas and in February for only a few days. Both times ended horribly and she got very ill at no fault of the kennel personnel. They were great, my dogs love them. Gone are the days that I can have someone come in every couple of days and look in on her, because she needs daily medication and I don't want to burden anyone to come in a couple of times a day. She is doing wonderfully right now, healthy and playful. I am just scared that another long term kennel visit would be too much on her and she would get sick again.
Your thoughts and experences would be helpful.
Thanks!
Denise
