Has anyone flown/drove from out of state and only stayed for a few days in Orlando? If so, how many days have you stayed? Has anyone stayed only for a weekend?

I wanted to shorten our trip to 4 days. We are currently scheduled to be in Orlando for 7 nights. I am thinking to cut the cost and just do 4 night. I should be fine with 4 days right?

I did that quite a few times when I lived in PA. I got to take more vacations that way during different times of the year.

We've gone for several long weekends (Thursday -- Sunday). I don't think it's a waste at all. :) I really can't imagine going for a week. I think I'd get tired of living in the same hotel room for that long. We've done 7-night cruises and enjoy that a lot, but somehow it seems different because it's not just visiting parks day after day. Obviously, other will disagree, but that's the nice thing about Disney -- there's something for everyone.

We did it last Nov. We came in late on a Wed. night and left Sun. afternoon. So, we had 3 full days to do stuff. It was a lot of fun :flower:

We tend to do that a lot, but we're only 4 hrs. away and we have AP's and drive. We did a 1 day trip in Sept. just because I needed a fix! Our last trip in Dec. was 4 days, and we're going back in May for 5 days.

We went down 2 years ago in June. We left on a Tues. and went home Sat. We live 12 hrs away so Tues and Sat were both driving days. Wed - Fri. we went to 3 diff parks (MK, Epcot, AK) We had fun and I would go again just for a couple days!!!! But, we saved money since last vacation and now we're going for 9 days!!! YAY!!!! It took 2 1/2 yrs though. We can't afford to go a lot :sad2:

That is what I am doing. I am going 10 days/9 nights Feb 26-March 7 and 7 days/6 nights May 24-May 30 instead of doing one long 14 or 15 day stay.

I have flown in from NY for several long weekend trips. One time, I was really only there for 2 days (late arrival on Fri, early departure Mon) It was great to escape or freezing winter for a couple days & the only way we could go at the time.

I say a short stay in WDW is better than no stay! I'm looking at trimming my Aug trip down from the original 7 nights to 5 to cut costs as it's a multi-trip year & next year is looking just as pricey....

We're probably going to go down in May for just 2 nights! From where we live we can catch a flight down that gets us to Orlando at 9:30 am, so we'll have a good half day at Disney. Then one full day to play, and another 1/2 day before we have to catch the last evening flight out. Sort of a whirlwind, but I'm looking forward to it. 4 nights could give you almost 6 days!

Yes, our first and only trip (since I was 3) was for 4 nights. It really wasn't bad at all. It's short, and you can't do everything you want, but we were able to go to all the parks. We'll probably never do more than 5 nights. It's hard for my dh to get long vacations. I would have liked one more night on my trip. I would go again for 4 nights though in a heartbeat--especially having already been.

Of course, now with the MYW passes, when you start doing the math, it doesn't save you a whole lot to do less days. Food and hotel would be the only added costs, I guess.

Good luck!

Yes, a short stay is better than none at all. You can just do a few of the major parks this time and come back another time to do more. We did 3 days after our cruise in Jan and it was fun. We did MK for 1 day, spent 1 day taking it easy and doing Downtown Disney and West side and the last day at Epcot.

Enjoy!!
