We just booked our first cruise on the 12/17/2005 Western :cheer2: followed by a few nights at WDW for our gang of six plus we are taking my in-laws. Has anyone ever stayed in these cabins before? They are on the outside of the ship but dont appear to have any windows and was wondering if anyone knew what was on the outside of these rooms?

I'd love to hear about these rooms too. I think someone once wrote that they are just on the outside wall, no window, but I am not sure.

I too would love to know...the map seems strange is there a bump in the wall, or window outside of 6504? Just curious...Thanks!

staying in 6502 for 4/23 cruise. Remind me and i will let you know how it was

My travel agent called to tell me that we had been "upgraded" to room #6504 and that this room does, in fact, have a porthole but that it's obstructed. The room is a category 11 but REALLY a category 8 which is larger with the split bath. It's a category 11 because of the upstructed porthole, she said. She also told me this is one of those Disney secrets and if you ask them directly, they will not give you this information. Who knows? I guess those of us booked for this stateroom will find out once we board, right?

Was in 6502 on 4/23 cruise. Small for 4 but it works> DS 10 & DD 12. Very crowded when everyone is getting ready for dinner. Coffe table gets in the way. But hey its a cruise did not spend much time their besides sleeping and getting dressed. Was very quiet except when we got back to Port Canaverle. Could here side thruster working at 5am. Bsides that quiet. Foward elevators near by take you to 3rd floor in adult lounge area. Pool area is quiet cove. Any other questions let me know. Oh not rocky at all. I was nervous about that, not an issue. Enjoy :cool1: :flower: :sunny: :goodvibes :Pinkbounc :earboy2:

Bump....I'd love some info on 6504 wonder ....the movement? Noise? etc? Just alittle nervous...

Sorry everyone to bear the bad news...these cabins are regular Cat. 11's. There is nothing special or extraordinary about them. We stayed in 6504 in May 2004 and my parents were next door in 6502.

They were very quiet which was nice because they are at the extreme end of the hallway, so no foot traffic at all. We did not hear any noise from the ship and we didn't experience any excessive rocking or any seasickness.

Unfortunately that is incorrect. I got the same information when I called Disney directly about these rooms. We went with balcony rooms instead. We did walk by the rooms while onboard to check them out while they were being cleaned and no, they are regular category 11 rooms without the split bath. Looks like your TA got the wrong info from DCL just like I did

Having returned from our Western cruise in May, yes, my travel agent was way off. #6504 is a regular inside stateroom, single bath, it's just that it's on the outside of the ship. No window, no porthole, no verandah, na-da. We had four in it. DH & myself, DS13 & DS17. It was a little tight, but worked. DS17 slept on the couch/futon with his feet hanging off, DS13 slept in the bunk with his feet hanging off. That's not Disney's fault...my boys are just tall! We didn't have anything more than what you get with an inside stateroom BUT...we were on a Disney cruise so that's all that mattered! IMHO, you spend so little time there, why spend all that extra money for more room? We had a clean bathroom, sleeping facilities, tv, fridgy-thing, more than enough storage, using the under-bed stow the life jackets and luggage. We were fine.

Don't blame your TA, he/she was probably just going by what Disney said. Like I posted above Disney cruise directly told me these rooms had small portholes and the split bath too.
