Looks roomier to me with just one bed. It will feel really roomy compared to AS.
As far as where they are located, I don't know. My DU agent did tell me I would have a better chance at a water view with a king room. Not that I was looking for a king room or water view. I was just looking for the cheapest room and a king room was all that was available with the AP rate.
King rooms are scattered all over the resort. Also starting in 2004 Martinique and Trinidad North are preferred buildings. They will cost an additional $15 per night.
We always stay in King rooms at CBR. They are great, seem very spacious and the bed is huge and very comfy! Last year we didn't have a corner room, but it was still as big as when we had a corner the year before. I would never get 2 queens when a King is an option.
We stayed in a king in February. I definetely felt more spacious. In April 02 we were AKL with two queens & it was way too crowded. It is just me, DH & DS (2yo), so the extra room was perfect for the pak-n-play.
