I see that some of the 1br units sleep 5 with some type of sleeper chair. We are a family of 5 with a dd 17, ds 14 and ds 9. Right now we get 2br dedicated and our dd sleeps in a bed and the boys share if they are getting along....LOL or one sleeps on the pull out. So....I was wondering how that sleeper chair works??? Is it for a small child?? Thanks

The sleeper chair is big enough for an adult. My mom slept on it in March and said it was very comfy. In December, we're staying at AKV for one night. We have me and DH in the master bedroom and then a niece, nephew and my mom to use the sleeper sofa and the sleeper chair in the living room area. I'm still waitlisted for a two bedroom for that one night but if we don't get it, I'm sure we can make do with the sleepr sofa and sleeper chair for just one night. I think it will be pretty crowded though with both of them in use.

Oh okay. Well some friends of ours want us to do 2 nights at AKV with them before moving over to BCV and I want to save points for BC but if we can stay in a 1 bedroom for 2 nights...then I might try it. We have never stayed at AKV. I want to stay in the new section that opens next year.

Do all the AKV 1 & 2BDR have a sleeper chair in the living room?

The value class units do not have the sleeper chair, the units are smaller and probably could not accomodate the additonal chair and allow enough "walking around" room for safety.

The sleeper chair is fine for an adult. Close quarters, but we were comfortable - my husband and I in the master, daugher and her husband in the pull out, sister in law (aunt) on the sleeper. It was also good for watching movies in the living room in the evening having that extra chair.

We're going in 2 weeks, and sleeping 6 (one in a crib) in the 1BR. Wasn't our first choice--they mucked up the reservation,a nd there were no 2BRs left when I got the confirmation in the mail, waitlist didn't pan out. So, we'll suck it up and deal. I plan to report when I get back, just because this is one of those things people always ask about. We're doing 3 nights at AKL, then 6 nights in a 2BR at BCV.

See that is what we would do...spend a couple of nights at AKV and then the rest at BCV. Oh and by the way...WE JUST SPENT 6 NIGHTS AT BCV. We got home this past Sat. LOVED IT. We were at OKW for 8 nights before BC and we all loved BC the best. Have fun.

So for figuring out points...which category would I look at for 1 br. at AKV with a sleep chair?? Thanks Chuck!!!!!

I too used the sleep chair for 2 nights in January and found it very comfortable. For me it was easier to use the chair than to pull out the bed. And remember in the Kidani building the 1 br should have 2 baths!
