Has anyone stayed here lately?

We are going to Disney December 10-17 and are staying at the Westgate Town Center. We were originally booked at the Westgate Vacation Villas but moved to the Town Center when we upgraded to a larger room due to my in-laws coming with us. I have read several bad reviews on the Villas but I have not read anything about Westgate Town Center. We did look at the Villa property when we were in Florida two years ago, but did not go to the Town Center. It looked fine, but I have read endless terrible reviews of Westgate. Can anyone tell me if they have stayed there recently and what sort of experiences they had? I appreciate it so much!

westgate is beauiful.

the problem are the pests - commonly called sales people.

they will bother you to dead.

just make the appointment for their maintence meeting (sales pitch) the day you leave - then leave before the time for the meeting....

oh if you don't have a meeting time - you will be threaten and warned that anything that is hurt in the room will be your fault. I have also been told that I couldn't check out until after the maintence meeting. All are lies.

there will be something wrong with room. If it was perfect you would not even consider going to a maintence meeting.

Westgate is its worst enemy.

Westgate is their own enemy. We just had our vacation cut short because while staying in the Palace all of our stuff was cleared out and stolen by housekeeping. Westgate offered us nothing. WE had to call the cops on these people because they would not acknowlege that housekeeping looted our stuff.

Yes the property was Ok better than any hotel but the customer service is horrible. Westgate just cannot seem to find away to overcome themselves. WE are currently having to file charges with better business beaureau simply because they would not do the right thing. I am just warning people to be aware of these dirt bags. SO sorry for the flame but my family is tramatized by this trip and all we got from them was a swift kick in the you know what~~
