Has anyone stayed at the KOA in Niagara Falls?

We are thinking of taking the kids up there this summer and we are more of a camping family than a hotel family (unless its a WDW hotel of course ). We have stayed at a couple of KOA's and have not been disappointed in them, but this is another country after all and I don't know if the standards are the same (not knocking Canada, just making sure).We had a VERY scary campground experience once and like to pre-check our campgrounds now and KOA seems to be the safest bet when that is not possible.Thanks.

BTW, does anyone know how long it takes to drive there from western Ma.? I'd like to take the train, but DH likes to be "in control" and have a car.So a road trip it is

You might want to post this on the Canadian thread it may get a few more responses.

From what i remember the KOA is quite far from the falls (like 3 miles or so) it is also on a very busy road and not to freak you out but there are like 2 strip clubs in that same area (on that road) and a whole whack of very cheap motels/hotels. So not really the quiet camping experience.

The traffic in the summer by the falls is HORRIBLE and parking is a premium so if you are thinking of staying somewhere and walking the KOA is a bit far to go.

There is a new resort opening up in Niagara Falls, it is called the Great Wolf Lodge, it will have a huge water park, you might want to look it up and check it out. There are also a lot of hotels right by the falls that may offer some discounts if you book early, it is worth staying as close to the falls.
