Has anyone stayed at the Days inn on Ball road?

So we have a room booked at Travelodge at the park. I'm on the fence about it. I'm thinking of switching to Days Inn on Ball road. They say they are a half block down from Disneyland. Anyone have any info? Please help.

Saying they're a half block from the park is somewhat dishonest. They're a half block from the north side cast member entrance and the maintenance yards, but they're as far or further from the main entrance than the Travelodge. I'd say the Travelodge is in a pretty good location, close to a Denny's and Carrows coffee shops, within sight of DCA, which looks nice at night.

Disclaimer: Being a local I've never stayed at any of these places but can comment on location.

We have stayed on Ball Road (not in the Days Inn but close to it) and it was a very long walk to get to an entrance you could atually use. You could see the wall of DL, just not get in! We wouldn't stay on Ball again because we like to walk to the park, not have to drive and park or wait for a shuttle. We also didn't feel all that safe around the hotel we stayed in...that could have changed though....as I say, it has been a while.
