Has anyone stayed at Hyatt, Crowne Plaza, or Renaissance Worldgate?

I have free airfare but the stipulation is to stay at one of these resorts.

Anyone know what they are like? What did you pay for your room?

Thanks.

We stayed at the Hyatt Orlando in 1997 for our honeymoon (if that's the one you're talking about). We enjoyed our stay here very much. It's a very pretty resort that's close to Arabian Nights and other great restaurants. The lobby is beautifully decorated and the staff helpful. The restaurants are pretty good and fairly inexpensive. We used the bus transportation to and from WDW during our stay and found it adequate. When going to Universal, Guest Services arranged for Mears transportation for us. At the time it was $8/pp round trip, but I'm sure it's gone up since then! :D

Let me know if you have other questions. I'll be happy to help! :D

We stayed at the Renaissance across from Seaworld. The hotel was nice...however I was not happy with the pool. It looks as if it was an old after thought . It sits out in the back, kinda like in a parking lot setting. No trees, rectangular, old, and not a pretty setting at all. If the pool does't matter to you, the rooms were nice. We actually bowed out of the hotel. Couldn't send a week in such drab setting... we were going to be lounge lizards by the pool... and this was not the one to be at! Hope that helps.. :

My buddy works for Hyatt and got 3 free nights.
The room is pretty basic, but as far as location,
we got in the car turned the corner, and then right on disney property. We got a wake up call
at 6am-630am and then back at 10-1030 at night.
We did not spend much time in the room.
I have stayed at Hyatt's in SA, Acalpulco, DFW,
where I DID spend time in the room.
I don't go to disney to spend time in the room, or the view.
We are there in May once again, but spending 3 more nights at 64.50 a night.
The old saying, location,location, location.
Good luck!

Polly ann- The Renaissance that Tense metioned above is not the Renaissance World Gate. The Ren World Gate is in Kissimmee, off of 192 near Disney.
Just though you'd like to know.
BTW- I have also been looking for info on the Ren World Gate, with little luck, about 6 months ago it was a Doubletree Hotel and Renaissance bought it.

I stayed at the Renaissance Worldgate back in May when it was the Doubletree. I am assuming the haven't done much to it except for changing the signs. It was a fine hotel, particularly for the price I got through Priceline and would be great for free. The rooms were average size and decorated nicely and were very quiet. It was comfortable and clean. From my window I could see the Tree of Life at the Animal Kingdom way in the distance. The bathroom is small but was clean.
The hotel was semi-classy but not stuffy. The pool area was average but quiet. The location ( aside from the road work on 192) was excellent and was 3-five minutes from Disney Property.
You can e-mail with specific questions if you would like, too dan@taos.com
