Has anyone stayed at Hawthorn Suites Universal Hotel

Hi we are looking to go to Universal for 3 Days before our Disney Cruise and was wondering if any one has stayed at this hotel? It says 70.00 nite and free breakfast. I was going to get the 86.00 tickets for the 7 days deal. Or does any one have any other suggestions that would be great. Thanks Lisa

Are you referring to the one on Canada St? If so, were were there for I think 3 nights about 5 years ago. It was a short drive to the Universal Parks and the hot free breakfast was OK...not awful but not as good as those at Embassy Suites or some of the Marriotts. The room was clean. It wasn't super spacious but had enough room for 3 adults and 2 kids. This was 5 years ago so maybe the rooms have been refurbished by now.

I havent stayed at this one, but was thinking about it for our next trip. I have stayed at the one in LBV and the Seaworld. The one in LBV was great, (would stay there again) the one near Seaworld was only okay (i wouldnt go back). I would love to hear any recent reviews of the Canada Avenue one.

I have stay at the one on Canada Avenue. It was clean and had free hot breakfast's. Plus it had a light meal from 5-7 I think Monday-Friday.

The Gift shop sells pepsi instead of coke.

Needs to figure out where I staying for hour family reunion this year and thinking about booking this place again because I got good service.

Stayed there November '06 and staying there again in March.

Good location. Nice property. Short drive to Universal.

Average breakfast. Cocktail reception a nice touch after long day driving there.
