Oh boy...pass the popcorn!

Heather, be prepared for some pretty strong replies to your question...you may want to reconsider and delete this post.

popcorn::

If you want to do it then that's your choice I suppose. However, I would strongly advise you not to. It's a way of saving money, yes. But it is dishonest, and not a great thing to teach a child.

It's a little early for popcorn, but what the heck... I put some in the microwave! Wonder how long it will be before the fireworks!!! :listen:

she wasn't asking for a moraity expose', she was asking if the security was strict. My answer is no. But, you never know what can happen.

I would be too afraid too. All the 3 year olds I know are very proud that they are 3 and if someone asked they would be honest!!

I think I see the high horses out in the distance heading this way.... popcorn::

I have never seen them check...

My horse is in the shop.

Don't ask questions about doing something dishonest on a public forum unless you're looking to be told what you're doing is wrong.

Don't lie.

It's wrong.

Please have some more respect for yourself, and for others.

Why would someone posting about being dishonest expect anything BUT strong responses?

Well, if the child is small for that age....maybe. If not, than NO! :dance3:

Really though, I know my almost 4 year old would of NEVER said she was 2 when she turned 3. If you get caught do you really want to risk being banned from the parks? Boy, what a way to ruin a vacation!

popcorn:: I'll take some, please! I will wait with you :surfweb: I haven't seen anyone check :goodvibes

No. I don't think they actively check. However, my 3 year old is very loud and clear when asked how old she is, and I don't think she would remember to lie if anyone asked her. Not that I would try it anyway. :sad2:

BTW, she had just turned 2 when we were there last year. My kids are both very tall for their age, and a Cast Member DID ask her how old she is. When she responded 2, the CM went on to have a conversation with her. She's pretty vocal for her age, and when I told the CM that both kids are tall, she said "Just checking." I wanted to yank out a birth certificate to prove it at that point so that she didn't think we were lying.

Precisely. What I find always very interesting popcorn::about these threads is some people actually think they're doing right by defending dishonesty. :confused3

The short answer is that the DISboards have a rule against advising ways to break Disney rules.

The longer answer...I am sure some people did. I did not even try. We could try this year...she is just turning 4 but is still VERY tiny, in 2T clothing now, but I feel very good knowing that I resisted the temptation and bought her a ticket.Last year, My dd was turning 3 on the trip. She was questioned by gate cast members more than once. And she was in a stroller, and was only in size 12-18 month clothes last summer -- she was TINY. Oh,and we had a copy of her birth certificate just in case. I wouldn't want to be made to purchase a ticket, and then seek reimbursement after the trip once I submitted proof.

good idea, now make sure you practice, now honey if anyone asks how old you are make sure you say you are only two!!!!!!!! :rotfl: and dont forget to put high heels on the child if to short for some rides :stir:

If you decide that that justifies trying to cheat Disney, or "get one over on them", that's completely your decision.

However, it is against DIS policy to post about it.

I think that pretty much says it.

If that isn't clear enough, don't talk about that here. :thumbsup2
