Has anyone sent groceries to resort?

Has anyone sent groceries and/or water to your resort at WDW?

If you mean ordered groceries and had them delivered, then yes. We've used Garden Grocer twice with great success. Nominal delivery fee and they picked up wine and beer for us as well. We had no issues at all and plan to use them again for our upcoming trip.

Can you give a rough idea of what the wine and beer cost was? We have never really had wine or beer at WDW before other than the odd glass of wine over dinner but this year (Aug) I am thinking it might be nice to have some for our room. I think you can get wine (and maybe beer?) at the AKL resort gift shop or Mara but I have heard it is very expensive from there. Thanks so much for your help.

We were tempted to have Gardengrocer pick up wine etc (they do not make money on this, it is just done as a courtesy) but you have to be there to receive alcohol due to underage folks ordering it.
Have to show ID. So we nixed that and we were glad. Disney resorts sell beer, small bottles of booze (behind counter) in their stores.

I know how you feel but we were too tired to drink more than one. LOL.
Beer about $5 each and it was worth NOT ordering alcohol. We only had 4 each the whole week from the store. The other time was at Brewery at BW and Germany.

The way I felt was I did not want to wait in our rooms from 8-10 am for alcohol with our delivery. GG will leave the prepaid order with Bellhop desk. So that is what we did. Now if you are not early morning people, stay and wait for your order. We were out the door by 7:30 am to get to the parks.

GG was GREAT! Another good service is wegoshop.com as well.

We did not receive our order personally both times we have ordered from Garden Grocer even though we did order beer and wine. Our delivery went to POP receiving and then a CM brought it up to our room. We didn't order anything that needed to be in the fridge and I chose a delivery time that coincided with our flight arrival so that it would be there when we arrived or shortly thereafter.

We were really glad for the beer and wine this last trip because it was so hot and humid. DH really like having a beer at the pool, in a plastic cup of course! The pricing was very reasonable - they charged us the actual price of the wine and beer. We gave a gratuity that reflected the extra request.

Thanks! I think I will call Garden Grocer. It will sure be nice to have groceries in our room.

We also used GG last year and ordered beer. We had to add it to the comments section and faxed photo id. It was at our resort when we arrived and the CM brought it up for us...it was great to have snacks and bottled water and saves lots of $$$...we did drink some of the beer but not all...too tired, but did have a few beers one afternoon by the pool, which was nice.

I am really shocked that they del'd the alcohol without you rec'ing it! They said they would not do that when we emailed them. Glad it happened for you!
