SSB about to head to New York City for the weekend to catch the show, and really looking forward to it! Forked out some good money to get great seats, and hoping a blast. Going Saturday night at 8...

Anyone seen it???

I saw it.You will love it. Worth the money.

Yes and we love, love, loved it. We took my daughter for her 15th birthday.
She's been bugging me to take he back to see it again.

Have a great time! :)

DD is going to see it in Chicago at the Ford Theater with her high school choir class on Wednesday. I wish I could go along!!!!

I saw it two times. AMAZING show. I can guarentee you will love it! :)

I just bought tickets to see it in Chicago! I loved the book, and I'm going to ask Santa for Son of a Witch, the sequel.

SSB...you already know that I've seen it! Just not "on" Broadway! The show is awesome and I can't wait to see it again!!!

Have a "Wicked" weekend!! ;)

I saw it in Toronto last year and LOVED it. Its a shame its not coming back to Toronto for another year....

We just saw it this past weekend on Broadway. It was very good. I was a little unhappy with how they changed the ending. While the two principal actresses, Shoshana Bean and Megan Hilty, did a great job, it is very clear how those roles were a so-much-better fit for the Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth; I'm really sorry we missed seeing them.

The theater, by the way, is incredibly comfortable -- some of the widest seats on Broadway AFAIK.

I go to Broadway twice a year and Wicked is my favoriate. I'm a native New Yorker and I have seen Lots of Broadway shows and Wicked is as good as it gets. My wife and daughter seen it twice.

Also, my second favoriate is Mama Mia. See that if you get a chance.

Enjoy Wicked. It's wicked awesome. LOL

I am jealous!
I listen to it in the car all the time, does that count? :guilty: It is coming here in August, but we are moving in June.

I was fortunate enough to see Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth in the roles a few years ago. The show is excellent, you'll hopefully enjoy it very much.

Funny thing about Broadway though, I went to see Rent a few years ago and disliked it immensely, while everyone said it was the best show around - so theatre is very subjective.

Its coming to Atlanta in May and I've already made DH promise to take me. I can't wait. Have a blast.

Me too and it was wonderful!!!!

You're going to love it.

I hope Son of A Witch is destined for the stage also!!! What an ending!!!!

Have a great time...I have not seen it...but know all the songs by heart as DD sings them to me all of the time....She will be so jealous that you are going...

I know you will great stories to tell upon your return. Stay safe!!! :flower:

What's the best way to get tickets for this? Every time I go to Broadway.com they tell me no seats are available. And how much are tickets? What about "premium" tickets? Is it worth the extra cost?

My girls are dying to see this, so I thought we'd plan a weekend to NYC soon, but I can't seem to crack the magic of getting good seats....

The secret to getting good seats is to get them very very far in advance....perhaps 6 months in advance. You might try www.hitshowclub.com to see if they have one of their " Dinner and a Show" specials. Although the tickets are full price, they offer dinner as part of the package for only a few dollars more. Periodically they offer Wicked as one of the choices. I am not sure if they offer weekend performances or not.

Good luck getting tickets. This is one of my all time favorite shows. I saw it several times before leaving NYC and am planning on seeing it again when it comes to Atlanta in May.

Saw it once with the original cast and once last year. Loved it both times...haven't heard anything about the current cast though. I think Anna Gasteyer from SNL is playing Elpheba...so I have my reservations. Either way, the production's incredible!

Saw Rent again this past Monday, loved it just like the first time!

Wicked and Rent are too entirely different shows, to say the very least!
