I just checked the site again and see that it is the same address as an agency that was told not to promote themselves on these boards. This must be their way around it!

The site is back up at the moment. I followed a link and it brings you to a travel agency. They want you to fill out a form with any codes you received from Disney! Also your AAA number? This can't be legal!!!!! They aren't AAA agents! They can use your info to get clients and book using your info! Please, moderators advise.

I have worked with this company before and they were great. There is nothing "shady" about them. I would use them again for my next trip and I recommend them to all of my friends.

What I meant to say was that I used them to plan my trip, the only I took this past December. I used a special rate they had in December and it saved me money'

I can't speak to the other agency as I have not heard of them. I will tell you as a TA, I can book room only AAA discounts for clients but I must have there number (DU site asks for it on the quote form too!) This should not be something to be concerned about.

Hello.

I just wanted to say that I used the company back in October for my plans coming up this summer. The woman was extremely nice. I recieved my confirmation directly from Disney.

I switched to the Free Dining plan last weekend and she was extremely nice about it even though I used her time and now was not going through her any longer.

I emailed her either last night or the night before asking how long it would take to have my deposit refunded to me and will post to let you know how long that will take.

I have no reason to believe that this agency is nothing but on the up and up.

Oh .... and while I was speaking to her on the phone last October it turned out she lives about two towns over from me.

I feel really bad about "taking" our reservation from her but since the rooms are done and the meal reservations have been done since February I could not see the point of switching my reservations back to her as she offered.

Oh..and I just remembered that she is a reader/lurker on these boards and I believe a while back was told to not advertise her business here....her direct website is different than what is posted above. I would tell everyone what it is but obviously that would not be allowed.

I agree, I don't think asking for a AAA number is illegal, most agencies ask for it if you are a member so they can secure you AAA rates if they are available. All of the agencies I have reserved with have asked- and so has Disney when I booked my own vacations. Thank you, InstImpres, I was concerned for a bit until you jogged my memory there! I have a great rate with them from an agent who gave an incredibly prompt and informative responce~ can't ask for much more then that. :goodvibes

I've booked my upcoming 10 night trip to WDW through this company. I've been pleased with them and have recommended them to friends of mine (something I would NOT do unless I felt confident in their professionalism, honest, and ability to get the deals if/when they come out! :thumbsup2 :sunny: ).

If they can get you a AAA rate, I'm not sure why they wouldn't ask for your number.

i'm not 100% sure, but i believe they may have recently bought the domain name of wdwforless and were just getting the site up and running... it is now totally connected to their regular website...

and jftr, i am not an employee or "affiliated" w/the company at all, except that i have used them as a customer for my last two trips and will be using them for my sept trip and have referred a number of irl (in real life) friends/family and all of them have been completely satisfied... i also know that they do the autism fundraiser trip every year and save a lot of people money while helping an organization that needs it...

I believe a company asking for personal info needs to be licensed and registered though. Are they? I can't find anything on their site. I'll check the Better Business Bureau.

Here's what I don't understand. Originally, the web site had some great special that it was offering -- supposedly as a charity to help autsitic children or something like that -- where the prices were really great.

Now it's just a regular travel agency that asks for your AAA number?

Sounds a little like a bait and switch to me. Can anyone confirm that they actually did get the superspecial rate for the charity group? If not, that's kind of shady.

I just checked the Better Business Bureau site. This place is not listed, unlike Timeshare.com. (whom I am neither endorsing or not, I book on my own)
I also can't find the charity listed. Does anyone remember the exact name so we can contact them directly? 1 in 166 children are diagnosed with Autism. Always be sure to give to a well known (by you) charity and check with the Better Business Bureau if you are uncertain.

When I made my request for infomation the agency (can I post who it is?) emailed me back the foundation who is benefitting from the trip, and I googled them and was a legit foundation who is certainly worthy.

As far as the BBB, I called and there weren't any complaints about the agency listed with them. They also told me that no agency or business is required to register with them, but listed or not if there was a complaint against them they would have it documented.

They actually had group rates last year for Mom's Club members that we reserved our last trip in December with (I didn't realize the two websites were one in the same until they linked up). The agency was wonderful and I believe the owners and agents are banned from posting here because they were not affliated with Dreams Unlimited.

Lark, I am guessing the info on the site is gone b/c in the responce I got back from them that this offer has limited space- possibly they have sold out some or all of their packages already?

Lake Ariel, do you have an issue with this agency?
