Has anyone seen "The Duchess"?

I'm looking for a movie to see on Friday night. DH is staying home with DD4 and I'm going to dinner and a movie with a good friend. So, has anyone seen this movie? Did you like it and would you recommend it for a girl's night out?

I've read about the Duchess of Devonshire. She was an interesting character-the Euro trash of her day, self absorbed, tons of money. If she was alive today, she'd be in People and the National Enquirer.

Sounds like the kind of movie I would enjoy I plan on hitting the theaters this week to see it!

I saw the movie last weekend it is spectacular. She is not portrayed as the Paris Hilton of her day, but more about her marriage to the Duke and what a sad life she actually had.

She did have a sad life. She loved her husband and his mistress and neither loved her as much as she loved them. If they didn't portray her as the Paris Hilton of her day, then they didn't do an accurate movie. But you know Hollywood, they pick and choose what portions of a person's life they film.

I guess what I was trying to say that if you are looking for this to be a bodice ripper, romance novel type movie, you are going to be disappointed. The portrayal of her was very accurate.
