Has anyone seen Cirque du Soleil's Delirium?

I got an email that it's coming to Atlanta, and I was wondering if it's any good. I noticed that they are calling it a "Cirque du Soleil" live music event instead of a regular Cirque du Soleil performance. Does that mean it's more music and less stunts? Any thoughts on it? My husband is a huge fan of Cirque, but this might not be enough like their regular shows for us to go.

I have no info to add, but I'd be interested to hear the responses on this as well. We're Cirque fans, but I'm not sure that this type would be our style.

I just recently saw this, it was okay, I think - you may have seen my other post about this show - do not, I repeat, do NOT sit in any of the floor seats, especially the first four rows as the stage is about 8 feet high so you had to watch like in the front row of the movie theater (meaning cricked neck) and still missed A LOT of it - make sure you get bleacher seats. also, not as much acrobatics as in other shows and no plot or theme.

It's coming here too and the prices are flat out outrageous. Cheapest seats (we call them the 'bring your own oxygen' seats) are $79. That's insane to me, considering it's such a HUGE venue.

I saw it recently too. I really really liked it. I would have loved it if I hadn't been on the floor (I was 4 or 5 rows back, so I could see more than RadioFanatic). The stage is around six feet tall, so it's hard to see from the floor.

I've never been to a regular Cirque before. It was a lot of music, but there was also a lot of choreography, projections, and some acrobatics. I really wish I could see it again with different seats.

Sounds like the two people that did see the show went to the Pepsi Arena in Albany NY. I thought about bringing my son because we love Cirque but even the cheap seat prices were more then I could handle so soon after Christmas and my sons birthday.
It got an ok write up in the local paper.

Dh and I just went last night in Columbus and were a bit disappointed. We have seen 2 of their Vegas shows and the Dralion and Varakai tent shows and this was definitely at the bottom of our list. Much more focused on the music and visual art than the "circus" aspect that we enjoy. I agree with the poster about not getting floor seats. The stage is very long and narrow and being too close limits the view. Our seats were stage center about 5 rows up and perfect. I saw a couple of families that left about half way through. I believe it is a bit intense for children.

My 1st post! :cheer2:

I'm on the fence about this show. For 2 tickets, it would cost me $283 with fees. That's a lot of money for one show. It sounds fun and interesting, but I'm not sure I can justify the cost of the tickets. For those of you who went, was it money well spent?

no I didn't think it was worth the $200 I spent - and remember you would be paying almost $300 for an hour and a 1/2 show - that's a LOT of movies you could see instead.

Gee, I wished I would have read more reviews before I bought my tickets. Delirium is coming to Little Rock in March. I love the Vegas shows and La Nouba at WDW. I was hoping it would be on the lines of the Verakai or Quidam traveling shows.

I could have bought seats on the floor. Ticketmaster kept trying to get me to purchase tickets 2 rows from the stage. I felt a little leary about this so I opted for tickets in the stands and now I'm glad I did this.

Oh no...we just bought tickets and I'll say that I'm not thrilled reading these reviews so far. Our tickets are lower level, but first row. I wonder if they're still '"up" enough to see without straining our necks. The prices were high - higher than I seem to remember Cirque tickets being. We paid $99 plus fees - it came out to $111/ea. :faint: This better be good...

Hi, Lisa! My DB and DS-i-l saw it recently and were extremely disappointed. They too thought it would be a more typical Cirque preformance.
