Has anyone seen a drop in prices?

I was kind of expecting cruises for the next several months to drop in price due to the cancellations, but I'm not really seeing that. My PIF date has passed but I was hoping to maybe upgrade for a nominal fee.

they did not create a discount for all cruises, but almost everything in the next couple of months has gone into GT status. Now, whether you’re willing to take the risk on letting Disney choose your cabin is up to you. But there are definitely some discounts out there now

DCL doesn't drop prices they only have GT rates. I've done a number of them. My cabin location doesn't affect my cruise.

We tried calling to see if we could get a discounted upgrade for our trip on 3/23, and to move from a deluxe inside to a verandah was still $1k. Looks like they're anticipating a full ship.

What is with the Fantasy? I think that the cabins in the aft might be noisy or what? This got my attention. Thanks.
The fantasy has vibrations in many aft cabins. Many guests have reported it was so severe they could not sleep. Others don't seem to mind it.

I didn't mind. You just have to stuff a few towels around things that rattle, plus by bedtime, I've had a few adult drinks so I pass right out.

Right, that is what I have read I think. That would bother me too.

The same problem has been affecting Wonder for the last three years, ever since the dry dock where they added Tianas’s.

Doesn't look like it considering they're still charging $13k for the Fantasy leaving this weekend 3/14. How can that be?

They are probably taking the gamble that at this point it is better to keep prices stable than to have a panicked fire sale to fill a few more rooms.

I think part of the issue is that some people will not cruise at the moment at any price.

That, and they don't want existing bookings re-shopped to lower rates.

Will be interesting to see what happens now that most Europeans can't directly get to the US for the next 30 days.

Well, you gotta hope/assume that WDW offers fair cancellation policies for packages booked by Europeans even outside the normal 45 day window, but who knows.

I think it's too soon to see price drops. They're just starting to deal with cancellations and rebooks and it's a massive cluster. But when this is all over I think all but the hardcore cruisers will be scared away and the entire industry will be faced with sending out half-empty boats. That's when we'll see some price drops, even DCL. It won't be Carnival low, but DCL low. They'll need cruisers to prove that it really is safe, and not a fleet of death ships like the media is portraying. I spoke to a retired cruise exec yesterday and he has the same hunch. But, it's just a hunch, only time will tell... and that could be weeks or months. The DCL faithful may not waiver, we'll see...

A DCL agent told a friend to ask about upgrades when you arrive at the port and they can look into it from there but they aren't able to do anything in advance. Apparently all kinds of people have been calling asking about free upgrades which is laughable in my book. They may be significantly reduced though so just ask when you arrive. Enjoy your cruise!

If people cancel this year and were to re-book for next year, could that make the pricing surge for 2021 cruises?
