I have been looking all over the internet for a good vacation home to rent for a week in May. I want a 2 or 3 bedroom and a private pool. I have never stayed in a rental home before so any input, good or bad would be helpful. Also if anyone knows about any good deals, that would be very helpful too. Thanks!

Look no further. Here is a good site to start: http://www.floridacentralvacations.com/privacy.asp
Most people who have rented are very happy with their choice.

BTW, there are other vacation home rental sites but this one will get you started. Also check out the Windsor Palms site. Good luck.

Hi momof3disneyholics - I have been on both sides of the fence on this one -as a rentor and for the past 5 years as an owner. It is a relatively straight forward process to rent one and you won't regret it the extra space and freedom you get is great - although if you are only looking for a two bedroom then you are more likely looking for a condo than a pool home- there's not many of them around.if you want to get in touch I may be able to help you out

Hello, you have several choices to rent a home. It is a wonderful way to spend a great vacation with a large group or a family.
Choices are:
1. From the owner directly...www.vrbo.com www.vacationrentals.com www.greatrentals.com are some of the sites available
2. From a company that represents owners. www.villadirect.com
is our favorite because they have many newer homes and in great locations to Disney. The other companies mentioned above also represent the owners. You get to pick your house just like with the owners.
3. From big tour companies that let the homes to big groups at low rates, but you do know which house you will get..not recommended by most of us familiar with home rentals.

Good look and have fun searching. Many of the homes from owners are also on the number of the sites under no. 2. They work together to keep the homes rented

From a big tour

Does anyone know how much the rental for a month would be? 3 months? The reason I ask husband will be retiring soon and need to know wether to rent or buy?

No doubt about it. Rent. You will learn things about the area you are in that may change your decision about buying in that area.
Don't buy, rent.

I did a search on hotels.com. This listing came up for $115 a nt. Five nights total was only $653! Same thing on Lodging.com came up $553 for five nights!

It says it is a 3 br/2 ba home with a pool. The actual location was Kissimee.
