Has anyone recieved this pin code?

My thoughts exactly!

There was a free dining offer I think in 2008 and it might have been the FD bounceback, but there was free dining with 30% off OKW and SSR! We didn't do this but they did have both. One time when there was a little room discount was in 2008 when we booked FD with the Disney Visa disount. We overlapped into regular season but got Value season for the entire stay and that was after WDW changed their policy! We saved about 25 but it was something!

I completely agree with the above that it seems like the CM's just pull stuff out of nowhere.

I just started on my quest for a pincode about 2 weeks ago. The day before yesterday I got tired of waiting and called the reservation line at Disney, spoke to a rather unhelpful CM who informed me I had nothing in the way of discounts under my name. . . I thanked her and called back to speak with another CM.

This CM was AWESOME. This time I mentioned that it's too bad that the special they are having now ends before my family's stay at Disney. She said, "Let me check to see if there are any discounts in your Mickey Portfolio" ... lots of sitting and waiting later, there was magically a discount. However, she couldn't tell me what exactly it was (said it didnt specify). She applied it to my reservations (which for whatever reason took FOREVER) and from the difference in price, I calculated that she applied the 20/30/40 code.

Still being curious, I called back yesterday to see if I could get the CM to TELL ME what exactly the discount is for. Gave him the discount code now listed on my ressies. He looked up my account... I waited, waited, waited... he couldn't find anything. He looked around some more and then, OH - yes, you um do have something here. . . I can't tell what it is - let me look. Then he says, what level resort are you staying in - I said Moderate and he said the discount is 30% off.

Tell me that doesn't sound like CM's just pulling codes! I'm glad I called, and there may really be a pin associated with my account - one way or the other, it's been applied.

Oh yeah, they also asked my phone number ... and if I've ever been to Disney before, no less than 10 times. . . and apparently the correct answer if Yes, and you need to give a date sometime after 1995... because she flat out asked, was it after 1995? Whatever!

All that to say - it's worth calling a few times - just to see. :)[/QUOTE]

Had you booked your trip yourself or threw a Travel Agent? I would like to call and see if I can get this applied to my trip but I don't knwo it it will work as I have booked threw a travel agent. Thanks in advance. :goodvibes

I booked on my own through the disney reservations line. . .

Although, I would say it's still worth a try. I would think they could pull up your reservations regardless. Tell them you are looking for a better deal - possibly something like the current promotion, etc.

I say it's worth a call.

If you are asking me.. (IDK who so sorry.) Mine were 05-27 - 06-01 and I still do not know if I am going or not. (Memorial Day weekend and resort is FQ.) I have until April 12th to finish booking.

:confused3

Life's little decisions. .. To go with only 40ish days ... or to wait the 148 days until the Aug trip. ... (I did do a time off request at work, just in case... now onto the DH sell, and the finding an airfare deal.)

That does sound too good to be true....I'll cross my fingers that there is a pin out there like that for those that need it.
But, I'm wondering if the e-mail says something like "Save up to 30% on your vacation with Free Dining".....just a thought....someone who is not as familiar with pin codes might see that as 30% off AND Free Dining....

It says this. We have gotten one too. Disney advertises that thier dining plan saves the average visitor 30% off regular dining prices. But all of the ones we have received this year are for free Quick Service dining plan (2 emails to me, 1 to DH and a pin code postcard to my old address I got this week).

I would love the free QS for October. Right now I am booked off site and will stay there with out some type of free dining. We stay at a Value (usually POP), so the only real savings for us is free dining. I wouldn't mind paying the upgrade cost to regular dining. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Last year my DH got a code in the mail for free regular dining even at a value, so we went even though we had already been to Mexico in the spring. Maybe it would be to good to be true to get one 2 years in a row!! I have figured out though that I am okay staying off site - I guess.
