Well, we finally broke down and decided to sign up. :guilty:

How long did it take to get the transponder in the mail?

We leave in 9 days so I'm hoping we'll be able to test it out on the Ben Franklin bridge.

Yesterday, we experineced a small exit off the Atlantic City Expressway that only accepted exact change but offered a change machine. :sad2:

It took me at least 9 days, not sure why? Do they sell them at AAA? I think why I didn't get it there was a cost associated with it. I just noticed that they refill in increments of $30. I think it was. I thought I needed to refill and saw they auto added some. It is nice as I travel for work on the PA turnpike, and I 90 in NY to dd home.
Wish they were readable in FL, resign to pay and get a receipt though. I saw there is a disposable one for $10 but I doubt we would ever use that much and it peels off to throw away.
Hey that is a good swap....will kind of....sending the disposible Rite Aide AAA or supermarket passes to us up north
.

You can purchase a Sunpass in FL for 4.99 and they rebate the 4.99 in toll credit. It is good on any of the roads in FL. https://www.sunpass.com/selectAcceptAgreementPurchaseTransponder

or you can purchase them in just about any store ie: Publix, CVS, Walgreens etc. https://www.sunpass.com/sunPassRetailers Downside, it affixes to your windshield and I am not sure it can be reused. And, you have to load it with at least 10.00, so you end up with 14.99 in toll credit.

The OP is requesting info on Ezpass which is used in the northeastern US. Florida's system does not work up here.

When I did mine a few years ago on-line I had our 4 transponders within a week here in CT. I used a cc so that they just automatically put money on ours when needed. We have them do it for $25 each time it is needed.

Oh good. We only need 2 so I'm hoping it will come in time.

I believe you can purchase the transponder at the rest station on the AC Expressway, if you want to be sure you get it in time.
