Has anyone recently linked an Orbitz reservation in MDE?

Yesterday I made reservations through Orbitz for an upcoming stay at the Contemporary. I have been trying to use the confirmation in my itinerary but no luck in linking it in MDE. It has been over 24 hours since I made the reservation.

Should I call Orbitz for a different confirmation number, or call Disney reservations, or wait and keep trying the confirmation number?

I made several reservations through Orbitz last year and had no trouble linking the confirmation number for those trips, but I understand things have changed since then.

We made reservations through Cheap Tickets before. After 24 hours, you can either call Orbitz and get the Disney reservation number or call Disney. In my experience, it was easier to call Disney and faster.

Don't know if you called yet, but in the last few weeks I booked 2 reservations on Orbitz and called Disney and they wouldn't help me at all. Calling Orbitz was the only way to go. Make sure to wait on the phone on hold while they call the resort to get the MDE number. Might be different for you.

I have not tried to call yet, but I will try Orbitz first, Thank You.

Disney Reservations doesn't have access to the reservation numbers.

You have to call Disney dining to get the hotel reservation number.

I know it doesn't sound right, but it is. The dining CM said it's because they are able to book the ADR's for 3rd party reservations so they can see the reservations unlike the reservation CM's that can't do anything with the third party reservations.

I booked our August trip through our credit card's travel portal, and was having the same difficulty linking to MDE. I called Disney directly, and the CM was able to access the reservation and give me the correct number. She even stayed on the line while I linked it to make sure it was working.

I just had to do this yesterday. The number to call at Disney is 407-939-7671. Their hours are a little different than the regular Disney line. The CM I spoke to had no problem giving me my Disney reservation number.

UPDATE - I just called this number and they gave me the Disney confirmation number, no problem, and no waiting on hold. I'm feel like doing a happy dance.

I booked a room for 2 nights at Pop yesterday via Orbitz (they had a great 20% coupon that ended last night), but couldn't link the reservation to MDE.

I searched disboards, found this thread, and the 407-939-7671 worked great! The cast member found my reservation without even needing the itinerary number from Orbitz, yay! I was on hold for a while, but once I spoke to someone, I had my confirmation number literally within a minute. I'm linked to MDE and ordering my magic bands now!
