Has anyone questioned you children's ages?

We were just there in July and they questioned me re: DD (who will be 3 end of Oct). It was just a quick, "she's under 3 right?" but they did ask. And she actually is small for her age.

I had a copy of her birth certificate with me in case there were any serious questions.

Thank you! I needed to be reminded also.I will be taking my 8 yo dd's birth certificate (copy) in Nov/Dec 2006. She is 5 feet tall now. Next trip she will be 10 and be an adult ticket. And yes, you should see her daddy!

Both of my boys were questioned on separate visits to Blizzard Beach when the got in line for the floating ice berg rope-walk because of their size. My 10 year old is 5 feet 3 inches and my 13 year old is 6 foot even!

Both boys still use their "child" park-hopper passes that have no expiration date and because Disney does not penalize a child for growing up, I was assured they would never be questioned about using a child pass.

At home our neice is constantly questioned, most people think she is much older than 2!

So we are taking her passport to the parks so we don't get questioned!

Just as an FYI you can stop at guest relations and have the boys passes switched from the 3-9 (child) to the 10+ pass at no additional charge. The child must be present and the dates of prior use must make sensse. The CM will re-issue the pass with the remaining number of park days and plus options as a 10+. If your 10 + chld is small then it may not be worth it but for taller children like yours IMHO its worth the 10 minutes it took us to do it. Sorry to go OT!

We always get stopped (DD2 is 38 inches and speaks like she should be heading off to college in the fall ) We always bring a copy of her BC just in case.

We travel several times a year via air in both the US and Canada and have found it beneficial to have a state issued picture I.D. for our daughter (now age eight). The IDs are available through state driver's license offices. They look similar to a driver's license and contain similar information. They are available for non-driving folks, children and adults. I don't remember the cost but it was not much. We did have to show her birth certificate at the license bureau. They even let her sign it, although at that time she only knew how to print her first name in VERY large letters. The ID is much easy to carry than a folded birth certificate.
