that's my issue, too. If they had one for less then I might consider it.
btw- the first 2 options don't make sense to me. if you get pay the $445 for the $600, you're just paying $50 more than the $395 and only getting an additional $50 credit. ??? So there's no advantage to doing the $600 card, really. Am I seeing that right?
Unfortunately there's no link for this offer. I believe it's being sent out to certain people (for whatever reason - there's not always a rhyme or reason to who gets these things) and the offer is tied to that person's name. In other words, you can't pass it along to anyone else.
I received this email this weekend, with a PIN, that was valid until 7 days prior to the start of our trip in January. It has no expiration date, but sounds like you can only use it on souvenirs, akin to a 25% off sale at the gift shop, which BTW the Disney Store at the local mall was having a 25% off the entire store sale. So I don't see it as being a particularly great deal. BTW, if you spend $50 more to get the $600 card, you get $100 in credit, not $50. Your math was off a bit.
Discussed this with the hubby over dinner tonight, and I think we may go ahead and get the merchandise credit. If we happen to not spend it all this time, we can always save it for future trips. I don't know what denomination to get though.
Ack, tell me how! This has been bugging the crap out of me!! I see you get $105 in credit with the $395/500 card, and $155 in credit with the $445/600, right? So that's a $50 difference in credit ($155-105), and also a $50 different in the amount you pay ($445-395). Right? Wrong? I'm NOT great at math, so I could totally be off.
I got the offer and we took full advantage of it. The $500 card is sold at a 21% savings. The $600 card is sold at an almost 26% savings. The $1000 card is sold at a 30.5% savings.
I asked lots of questions before we made the decision to buy. We are thinking of buying a special piece of Disney art and then there are all of those highly addictive pins.
If anything is left at the end of our stay, I will take the card with me when I go back in April on my planned solo trip.
Does anyone know if it can be used at Disney Stores outside of WDW? I'm wondering if it might be more worth it if I'm able to use any remaining balance at our store back here at home.

We will be heading down the first part of January for 10 days , we got the offer and I think we are going to have to go for it. We have six in our party and I would be shocked if we don't spend at least $500 for stuff while we are down there. I would love to know if there are certain places in the parks where it can't be used (I know about the food).
It looks like a good idea.
I have two daughters both scheduled to go for the most expensive package at the bibbidi bobbidi boutique. I figured this would be a great oppertunity to save some money since I am planning on spending $400 on both packages.
So I have called Disney twice today.
1st time I called they said I could use thie Merchandise Credit for the bibbidi bobbidi boutique.
The 2nd time I called the person on the phone said said I couldnt use this on the bibbidi bobbidi boutique because its considered "an experience".
Sort of weird if you ask me that I get two different responses. I can't afford to make the wrong choice here. Meaning that if I get the $600 card and they decide not to let me use it, I am not prepared to pay the $400 out of pocket + the $600 I would have in the card to spend.
Just curious if anyone knows if you can use this towards the bibbidi bobbidi boutique or not??
Concerning BBB I would call them directly at least 2x and see what their answer is, if it's consistent both times, then you'll get a better picture. Another idea would be to email Disney and ask the question, then you have it in writing and would have something to argue with if you were denied when you were there.
