Has anyone packed juice boxes or capri sun in their luggage?

We're only going for 4 days, so I don't need a boat of groceries, but I'd like to have some juice drinks.

I've thought about the Garden Grocer, but I don't know if its worth it. My order would be so small - water, drinks, quick breakfast items and a couple snacks.

So, then I thought I'd pack a few things -couple snacks and some juice drinks then suck it up and pay for the rest

Any thoughts?

Packed snacks and juice and water in my checked luggage in December 2007. Worked out fine. I just made sure my snacks were in box packaging to reduce crushing everything. You should be careful not to overload one suitcase over the other because you can end up paying extra if your checked baggage exceeds the 50 lb limit (or what ever limit your airline sets.)

Wegoshop does not have a minimum. She was great. I got basically the same stuff you are looking for and it worked well!

Word of warning! Capri Suns will pop. Found that out the hard way at WDW this year. Make sure you have plenty of cushion. I packed some of those "kool aid" singles since my kids won't drink plain water. I used them to mix my own. They are great for travel.

So, wegoshop is like garden grocer?

yes they deliver to your hotel, if you are not there they will leave it with bell services. You can use their website to place the order but she told me to call her with my credit card info, so I did. They dont have things to choose like GG so I just typed in exactly what I wanted and they went to Publix (I didnt care where) and she delivered, two boxes of Capri Sun, a case of water, 12 pack of Pepsi, a snack thing of Pringles and Cheezits. It was the cost of the food, a delivery fee of $17, and then the tip was 10% of my food cost. It was there when we got there. Give them about two weeks notice bc they have to make sure they have a delivery time for you.

I thought about wegoshop for our last trip, but decided against it. I took a canvas duffle bag and put 2 boxes of capri suns in it. I also put some snacks and kept it all in the same bag. I double bagged everything with ziplock bags. They have them big enough for the capri sun boxes. I also put my sunscreen and cosmetic liquids in the duffle bag, so that all my liquids would be in 1 bag. I checked the bag and they did go through it at the airport b/c they put a tag in it saying it was inspected.

I did not have any problems.

For orders under 100.00 the delivery fee for garden grocer is just $12.00. I also agree about the mixers...any CS restaurant will give you a free cup of ice water, even without any purchase at all, so they can have free ice cold drinks!

We've packed them - though with the current weight limits and charging for going over with airlines, I wouldn't pack them any longer. Liquids are heavy.

We packed juice boxes, waters, and food in two suit cases this past April/May. We weighed out suitcases on our bathroom scale and were surprisingly close to the scales at the airport. Both were at the max 50 lbs, but it all worked out great!! Nothing leaked and it saved big bucks!!!

I think the limit for alot of airlines is 40 now.
We packed a few waters and juiceboxes/caprisuns too. Never had a problem wit hany of them. But I always had stuff left, so next time I think I will only pack 1 per day for my DD. Plus we had the refillable mug for myself and she shared that. The only time the juice boxes were really needed was during a parade or late night when I didn't want to walk. I alos brought snacks and had tons left. Being on the dining plan we relly didn;t need much extra for food, except a breakfast bar. So the snacks were mainly eaten on the plane. So again, it will go down for our next trip.

i'll have a 4 & 8 year old for 4 days/nights. Our flight leaves early on the 5th day, so I won't count that.

I thought may be a box of capri suns or a package of hi-c boxes, and then a box of the single drink mixes - propel or lemonade. I'm thinking of taking a couple insulated water bottles and get water at the parks. None of us are big pop drinkers, so this should be o.k., I think.

I don't need bottled water. We will be o.k. with Disney water unless it reeks of sulfur which I know it doesn't.

I think that will be more than enough.
I do find Disney water gross though.

Yea, I should probably add that we weren't on the dining plan. We used the juiceboxes and food for breakfast in the hotel in the morning, brought our own food for snacks at the park for the kids, then we would eat a light counterservice meal for lunch and again for dinner (if we were even hungry, sometimes dinner or lunch was just for the kids). We made 3 ADR's for while we were there. Two character breakfasts and one dinner (over a 10 day period). We aren't big eaters, so for us we saved a ton by not doing the dining plan and bringing our own food.

We packed juice boxes in our checked luggage. I was worried about them busting in the suitcase so I bought some of those BIG Ziplocs and put bottled water and the juice in there so it they busted it wasn't all over our other stuff. It worked great!
