Has anyone ordered MagicBand skins from magicmyband.com?

We ordered 5 of these last night....all custom. We leave in 2 weeks. I know that is cutting it close. I hope they arrive in time. I have a few questions for anyone who has ordered/used this product.....

1) How long did it take for them to arrive?
2) Did the 1 piece still allow the MagicBand to work? It covers the Mickey icon in the center. The website says it will still work. Just a little concerned.
3) Did they look as good as they do on the website?

I'm really excited about these! Hope they look as great as they looked when we designed them!

I ordered atbthe beginning of this week so I can't answer those questions. I did order a one piece for myself and everyone said it works fine.

But over in the theme parks community there is a thread about decorating magic bands. Some people have pictures of their bands from magic my band and they look great!

I ordered one a couple of weeks ago. It is a one piece, but we have not been to a park yet. It does look nice.

I ordered the 2 piece for F&W and they didn't take long to arrive. Have not used them on our bands as of yet.

I ordered some last May but all of mine were 2 piece versions (I wanted to be safe)
They came really fast, even though they are sent from overseas.
I paid for 1 of each design (total of 3 designs) and I got 6 of each.
I also got 2 samples.
They were very easy to apply and held up fine. Though I did only wear them for 1 full park day. No idea what a week's worth of wear would be like.
I did custom designs and the quality of the image probably came out better than I expected, since I couldn't tell based on the Google images I used.

We did order. Haven't used them yet, though.

1) How long did it take for them to arrive? Probably 2 weeks, I'd say. There was an air France sticker on the envelope, so you may want to give it some time.
2) Did the 1 piece still allow the MagicBand to work? It covers the Mickey icon in the center. The website says it will still work. Just a little concerned. Order the two piece one, so unfortunately can't say.
3) Did they look as good as they do on the website? I think they do. Good quality, not pixelated, good for the price.

I just wanted to pop in and say that I ordered mine on 7/4 and I received them today. So it only took 6 days. They look awesome. I had no idea that they gave you two of what you ordered!! What a nice surprise . It took me a bit to fool around with them and get the stickers on correctly. I am glad I got two in case I am not happy with how I got them on.

I ordered for my trip this past May. I received them in under a week. They looked identical to what was in the viewer when I designed it. I got the 2 piece version, but I had read many posts prior to to ordering & no one had any issues with the 1 piece that i noticed.

I think it was a week and a half after placing my order and they came out great. I did the 2 piece design because I was a little worried about covering the chip as well. But we will be using them in a few weeks.

Sorry to hijack, but I have another question for you who have ordered bands from here. I'd love to do this but I'll admit I'm lost about how to do the custom thing. What did you guys use as images? Does it need to be an actual photo? Can it be something from online? How do I know what's good resolution or not? Any special sites where you've gotten images?

Please help this totally tech-challenged person make some great bands!

I just searched for the image I wanted on Google images. If the image fit on the band I tried it. I kept trying till I found one that fit week and went with that. There was nothing special about the ones I used

I ordered 4 of them on the 2nd and they arrived yesterday. I was really pleased with how they turned out and how quickly they got here. I ordered the two-piece ones since I like the Mickey head showing, but I imagine the one-piece ones won't cause any problems since I see pictures of people decorating the Mickey heads with rhinestones, glitter and nail polish without having any issues. Not to mention the fabric band covers some people use. We haven't used them yet so I can't say how durable they are--I ordered some from DVC Cover Bands last year and those stayed on great the whole trip, so hoping these do as well.

I've not ordered any yet but am considering it for our September trip. `I do not think the one piece skin will effect the chip. I decorated my band last year and made the Mickey a flower using a large rhinestone and also coated it in several layers of clear coat nail polish, it worked fine for the entire trip.

I looked for the highest resolution images I could find. For instance, My son made his with the Chicago Blackhawks logo. We googled that and then looked for the highest resolution. You'll know when it's not high enough as it will look all "pixelated" when you shrink it to fit on the band. Also, when you add the images, remember to click on which layer you are adding.. Start with Layer 1 (background) first. You can try and re-try s many times as you want.

I googled the images also. I used a Philadelphia flyers one for my husband. I put the image on the band and used the - or + to make it fit. I also used stitch for mine. I was a little worried they would turn out not so great...But I love them!

Thanks! If anyone has ordered through this site. Coukd you post some pics? I searched the threads, but it looks like the pics that came up people had decorated themselves. I'm *no where* that talented!! Lol
