Has anyone ordered from Minimus?

I was thinking about getting a few things for our upcoming trip. Are the prices reasonable? What things do you like to order that you don't buy in a store?

We did a year or two ago - liked the selection and the prices were fine for what we got. Might do it again - got the peanut butter packs, jelly packs, individual salad dressings, etc. - very handy!!!

Actually, (and I'm gonna live on this FOREVER, because I get to correct you, Mike - and that won't *ever* happen again!!! You are truly marvelous and an incredible resource for all of us DIS folks! ) - Minimus.biz is a trial-sized product company based in Los Angeles. Their stuff is great for vacations! They are the folks we used, and I think the one the OP is asking about.

The other Minimus (.com) is in the UK, but I can't tell exactly what they do. (I think it is a book about a mouse, and a blog...)

OK, so I get some number of lashes with a wet noodle. I had only looked for the .com.

It is similar to a situation many years ago when a boss of mine publicly gloated when he caught me in a mistake. But I, and everyone else in the workgroup, knew that he was (sort of) entitled to act that way because it was more normal for me to catch some of his errors.

This just goes to show that nobody's perfect.

You are definitely the closest thing to perfect we have on the DIS - you are marvelous and we all love your posts! (And I, personally, have benefited a lot from your wise counsel on more than one occasion!) Between you, Robo, and dvcgirl, I don't think we'd have the savvy and friendly community we have here!

(And my family noted today that it was three years ago we bought the stuff from minimus and still have a few - very outdated! - individual packets of peanut butter and jelly in our pantry. Ick!) Our son has autism and was going through a very picky eating phase just in time for our 2007 WDW vacation - so we had sliced bread and lots of these packets handy from minimus to make him PB&J as often as possible, so we could eat our yummy food on the Dining Plan! It made things so much easier than carrying regular-sized jars of the ingredients! I don't remember where I had first heard about this company, but is was *probably* here on the DIS... Thank heavens he has moved out of this phase, but their packets are very handy for travelers.

I've used them a couple of times. I've found them to be great for vacations and stocking my desk at work with the "goods" I use occasionally. If you order $20+, the shipping is free. It seems to take about 10 days from order to delivery. Everything I've ordered with expiration dates were all over a year in the future. I thought they were great and plan on ordering again before my next vacation.

I use them quite a bit also...things like little condiments jars/jelly/peanut butter, miniature duct tape, tiny scissors..they are a good company!

Last Christmas I ordered a bunch of things from Minimus and the kids put together mini first aid kits as Christmas presents for grandparents, aunts and uncles. They had a few things that are hard to find in regular stores (sunscreen wipes, insect repellent wipes).

If we ever do the cross-country trip we've been dreaming of, Minimus would get a lot of our business for individual packet type things.
