We are leaving on the Friday after Thanksgiving at about 3:00 am with three kids (9, 7, & 6) who are very good travelers - we don't stop much. Is it possible to make it to Brunswick, GA so that we have only a few short hours or Orlando the next day?

I've driven from NE Pa to Brunswick, Georgia, in 1 day. Left at 11:00 pm , drove through a bad snowstorm and reached Brunswick at 5:00 pm. It's about 6 or 7 hours to WDW from Brunswick, if memory serves me. Drove another time , left at 8:00 am, had great weather and hit Brunswick at 7:00 pm. So yes, it can be done from Jersey. We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Brunswick, right off I-95, free breakfast, very clean rooms. Have a great trip!!

We did. We left central NJ about 8:00am and arrived in Savannah at 11:00pm...That was with a very long (unanticipated) dinner break and a few minor pitstops. This was this past May with 3 kids, 5,2, & 8 mos..Needless to say we are flying in December!!!

We used to drive to my mother-in-law's for Easter every yer. she lived in Saratota, FL. It would take us about 24 hours of straight through driving. Several times we did stop off at DW, and it took us 17 hours to get there. This was with 3 kids, and multiple pit stops. My husband likes to stop, and any time the kids just mentioned a potty break, we would stop. It is a very "doable" trip. Now that the kids are teens, they refuse to drive, but my husband and I actually enjoy the drive. We would leave in the middle of the night, around 3am, and the kids would sleep for the most part. Good luck...and enjoy those kids while they are still home ! ! They grow up way too fast !!

We always stop in Brunswick and stay at that Hampton Inn!!
We leave S. Pa. (we live about midway between York Pa. and Baltimore) at 4:00 AM. We usually get to Brunswick at 5:00 PM or so--give or take. This includes a # of stops along the way (about every 2 hours or so).
We leave Brunswick at 6:20 AM (after the free breakfast), and are checking in at OKW around 10:30 AM.
So yes-it can be done. The big traffic headaches are in Balto/ DC. Get past there and it's clear sailing all the way to Brunswick. To note we always take the I-295 by-pass around Richmond and Jacksonville.
