Has anyone here used The Timeshare Store for resale purchase?

We're really thinking about taking the plunge with a small initial purchase...ideally 65 points at VWL. I know they're an official sponser of this site, but I was wondering if anyone has had actual experience with them.

Just bought a BWV resale from them, closed last week. They were excellent!
Jason was right on the money regarding the terms of sale, ROFR and timeline till closing. Would recommend them without reservation.

We're working with them right now and waiting on ROFR for VWL. My DH has been the one dealing with them but he's pleased and things seem to be going smoothly.

We bought our membership through the timeshare store. I believe I purchased in March and was officially a member by May.

A great way to go! Saves a lot of money compared to going with Disney!!

I bought a VWL just this year and used the Timeshare Store. I started in late Feb and was all completed about the latter part of mid-March. It was uneventful and everything went smoothly.

I am using them now. I'll tell you what I like about them so far.

1. They are more than willing to explain the way things work. I knew NOTHING when I started and they were very nice.

2. You don't only have to talk to your salesperson. I was told I could make an offer even if my regular person wasn't there. And it happened. Jamie wasn't in yet but Jason took my call when we wanted to make an offer.

3. You always get a live person to speak to.

4. Almost everthing is done by email, fax and mail. I love using email and faxes because it makes me feel like things are going quicker.

We are supposed to close by July 9. I hope we make it through ROFR!

I've used them and have nothing but good things to say.

The resale process is slow, uncertain, and frustrating, but the brokers are one thing I don't think you really should worry about. I've seen occasional problems with unscrupulous sellers, I've seen some scary ineptitude by title agencies, and the ROFR process can be maddening.

But I wouldn't worry about the brokers. They are good and they are also one of the most tightly regulated professions here in Florida. Worry about ROFR.

We were comparing DVC direct vs thru resale and decided to visit the Timeshare Store on our last trip to Disney.

I now feel very comfortable working with Jason and buying DVC resale vs direct through Disney.

I would not hesitate to use them and Jason has been in contact with us keeping us up to date with what we are looking for.

Currently closing on BWV resale with Jerry/Timshare Store. So far they have been great, timely, you know what is going on, etc. There was a slight issue in the beginning but it was cleared up quickly and professionaly. I am also closing on another resale with another company and it has been anything but smooth. I agreed on the price 3 weeks before this timeshare and still have not seen the contract to sell and my Timeshare Store contract is already signed and submitted to Disney.

They sell so many Disney resale that they are really good at it.

Yes, we used them June 2004. Jason was extremely competent and knowledgeable. A great transaction all around. Highly recommend.
