Some friends of my BIL are in WDW right now. They told him that they got some sort of PDA, that you could rent or buy, that you carry with you in the parks and it tells you where the characters are and stuff like that. I had never heard of that and had no idea what he was talking about. Do you know anything about this?

Is he maybe talking about the "Pal Mickey"??

Pal Mickey is wonderful, we bought him a few weeks ago on our last trip. He tells you jokes, plays games and he picks up signals in the parks to tell you all about behind the scene things, character meet and greets, ride waits, parade times, best place to watch the fireworks, etc.

Other then Pal Mickey, I have not heard of anything else that does that. :confused3

You know I think I have read you can use your palm pilot for downloads, and wait times, not sure what or where, I did a quick search, this site was one of several that came up.....

I use eguides to go, and it's fabulous, but you can't download at the park. You can load it before you go with menus and park hours and stuff, but nothing as specific as wait times or the like. I've not seen anything like that, except Pal Mickey.

Pal Mickey was my thought too, but BIL was pretty sure it was a normal PDA. I guess we will find out for sure when they get home.

Great info Tara.. did you decide if you were going to get it??

It looks kinda neat, and having 4 kiddos I am tempted too, but I don't want to worry about messing with it LOL!

We'll stick to our Pal Mickey and fight over him :)

Yeah, I'm sure we'll get it. We don't have a Pal Mickey yet either so we'll get one of those too.

I just returned this morn from WDW and if I were you I'd purchase the Mickey PDA at the park or a resort. It's about 1/2 the cost as on the Laughing Place website. It looks like a handy item. I'm regretting not buying one.

Where do they sell them in the park? I was thinking of looking at ebay also.

Does anyone know if it works at both WDW and DL? I'm lucky enough to get to go to both places this summer, and if it does double duty, I think I might have to pick it up!
