Has anyone heard how the Disney bus driver is doing? I know he was on suspension with pay. I hope he's not in trouble.

Bump.....I am also wondering if anyone knows the status of the driver's job. It would be a terrible injustice if he was even reprimanded!!!:scared:

I have not heard anything, but after seeing several cases with WDW and its CMs where they are investigated for incidences with guests, most times they are reinstated. In this case, it seems driver was doing his job, holding his own in the temper area, and doing his best to protect other guests. IMO, this guest needs to be banned from WDW for his actions. Tempers do flare as guests are tired and worn out, but we do it to ourselves. No need to take it out on others.

Heard he ran away with his mistress to Jamaica. Just a rumor though.

According to one source, the family involved in the altercation was located at a on-site resort, removed from the resort and banned from WDW. I don't know if a refund was made available for any unused days on their passes [if purchased] and/or unused stays at the hotel.

According to the news sources, nothing happened to the attacker. The police were not contacted as neither party wanted to press charges.

According to an Orlando Sentinel update on the incident, the bus driver has been placed on paid leave pending Disney’s investigation of the incident. According to Disney security, neither party plans to press charges.

Orange County Sheriff's Office deputies said they presume both the driver and the Disney guest decided not to press charges since they never received a call about the incident.

The 'source' contradicts what has been reported. The source says that OCSO was contacted while the media says they were not. The source also said that there was a plain clothes security officer in the loading zone for this bus, if true why didn't he step in when seeing the baby being tossed to the bus driver.
