Has anyone heard anything about a GP offer?

I have to ask because I find it really quiet on the boards this time around - typically there are numerous discussions about rumours, hints from CM's, and free dining PINs. I've seen the odd post here and there but mainly it's just threads about game-on/lorttery type PIN codes.
I'm really anxious about tomorrow to see if Disney is going to do the same as last year and release free dining the day after July 4th weekend or if the only sound we'll hear is silence:scared1:

Considering the total absence of rumors, and the recent batch of experimental pins, I am expecting silence. With a probable public offer still 1-3 weeks away.

That's what I was thinking too - there is always a CM or travel agent that slips or hints and I just haven't seen that this time around. Expecially since so many of the PINs don't expire until July 7th.:sad1:

Maybe they'll pull another one of those Friday announcements? They seem to like those lately.

And don't these things usually start on a Monday? Maybe they couldn't do that this year becuse the 4th is on Monday.

Last year the first free dining extension into October, November, December was announced the day after July 4th weekend which was a Tuesday:) I wasn't watching for a dining offer around this time last year because I went in September - so by this point I already had my discount. Does anyone remember if there were rumours flying around on or before July 4th weekend? Or was it a surprise for most of you?

I think a Friday offer is very likely considering the present PIN's expire on July 7th (Thursday). Which offers came out on a Friday this year?

We are leaving for a mountains vacation on Saturday so I am hoping something comes out on Friday so I can book my October trip before I leave for my first vacation! Crossing all of my fingers and toes!!!

On the November 2011 thread someone just received a free quick-service PIN for their Value resort stay so hopefully that is a sign of things to come:surfweb:

This will be my grandchildrens first visit to Disney, I check every day for free dining since will be a party of 9, 4 Adults and 5 children, going in early December. Have not been since 2000. Thanks for all of the information that you give.
:santa:

Just to add to all the dates/speculation etc... My pin code doesn't expire until July 27th. It got me 35% off POFQ if I booked a MYW package with at least a 1-day base ticket. Never received the pin through email or postcard--found out about it when I called and asked if I have any pins. (standard rooms sold out within the day that I found out about the pin and the next day when I called to book it. I had to go with a riverview room for a little over $100 more.)
Last year, while the public FD came out right after July 4th weekend, I had a pin code for FD that didn't activate until July 13th. The difference was that my pin code allowed me to use it during Pop Warner week, which was blacked out with the GP code.

Continued silence on rumors. I doubt we are seeing public offers immediately, but it can't be too much longer.

I'm guessing they are trying to stretch out a window for full-price bookings for the fall, as well as experimenting with targetting discounts via the PINs. If they are successful, we will likely see a public offers being smaller than in the past.

Yes, a friend of mine got this pin too, I believe over the weekend. She got it at Pop.

I'm thinking you're probably right. I'm hoping for tomorrow, but I doubt it will happen.

Maybe there is some hope. I remember back in March, Orbitz released a deal just prior to an official WDW General Public Discount.

Disney seems to be slow coming out with just about everything this fall (with the exception of next years rack rates) - the AP discounts, general public discounts, Wishes Dessert Party dates (the September calendar for Wishes isn't even out yet!!!!)

The website goes down once a week if not multiple times per week (I know because every time it goes down, someone starts a new thread about how Disney might be updating their website with free dining:lmao:)

The CM's are losing their minds with the all the varients of the Game-On PIN's and now the quick service and resort discounts PINs, not to mention that bounceback code last month that wasn't a bounceback and then was a bounceback again:scared1::confused3

Disney is going to have to get its act straight soon or they are going to start losing people left, right, and center.

I say we demand an apology in the form of free dining!!!!!!

(Don't flame me, I was only joking):lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

I checked my email from last year and I got the FD offer PIN on July 13th, which was a Tuesday. That was for most of November and Until december 16th. Im hoping to see something soon with this offer soon otherwise no Disney for us this year =(

I already got one PIN code but it was for free park hopper and water park fun n more option. That would save some people money if they have a large family but for us its just two people. We also already decided to not get the park hopper option this year anyways, so it isn't saving us any money. We also would never get the water park option because its going to be early december and the weather will be iffy and we are only staying for 5 nights so no time for thoss extras!!!

here's hoping!!
