Has anyone had issues with Main Street Megastore?

Here is my dilemma,

I placed an order for 2 wdw autograph books for my nieces and 2 WDW Christmas DVD's to put in my family Christmas packages as we are headed there for Christmas 2005.. The order was placed in Early Septmeber. WIth all of the hurricanes I can totally understand the delay in shipment which was mentioned. One day I checked my account and it said my order was paid (this month in OCT) and my shipment was delivered. I have never received my order and have emailed them several times and have not even gotten a response... What do I do now?! My order was for $97... and I was planning on it for Christmas gifts... Not only that I can't beleive I have not gotten a response back from them!

Has anyone else jhad soemthing like this happen?
 
Dispute the charges with your credit card company and send them a letter stating you have done so. Then go order from another store. That's basically all you can do. Make it clear to them that at this point all you want is the charges reversed as you've decided to take your business elsewhere. If what you are ordering is originally park merchandise, you might try just calling Disney themselves and ordering it. They will only charge you shipping and handling above the price of the merchandise where companies like MM charge you more than the actual cost of the product to make a profit.
 
I ordered a pin and an autograph book from them a few months before our Feb trip. After 2 weeks when I didnt get it, I checked the status and it said processing. I sent email after email with no repsonse. There was no contact # as well. Finally a few weeks before our trip I said the heck with them, Ill get it at the park and save on shipping now. After several more emails saying that I wanted to cancel my order, they responded, and refunded my money.

I ordered a picture frame from them a while back. It took over a month for it to arrive. I emailed them asking the status and was told that it would be looked in to. I got it the following week.
 

At least you got a response... I have sent email after email and not gotten one....
 
I had similar issues with them last year. They only started responding to my emails when I mentioned that I would start fraud charges against them with my CC company. I told them to cancel the order and they didn't, still charged me and I wasn't receiving the items in the mail, when they had told me that the package had already been shipped. I said the heck with them and ordered my items from LaughingPlace.com & MouseMemories.com and received those items within days. Several weeks later, I received an automated email stating that my package had been shipped. I was told I could keep the items. How nice :( It only took them 4 months.
 
I was checking their website (just curious about items as I would never buy from them after all the neg. posts) and they had a Disney Princess bank I bought Remy in July at MK for 24.99. I only paid 14.00 for it AT THE PARK!!! I am glad I have heard how bad they are before I ever considered buying from them! Thank you to all those that let us know about your problems with this company. You have saved many of us from making the same mistakes!
 
I have opened a case with the Better Business Bureau... You can follow the link in this thread if any of you wish to do the same. Maybe if more people do the same it will help!
 
Here is the link directly to the Mainstreet Megastore listing on the BBB. Surprisingly enough, they are located just a few towns away from me in Massachusetts. Too bad there is not an actual address listed, as I certainly wouldn't mind knocking on their door for my fellow DIS'ers.

I ordered a DVD from them in September. They said that it was in stock and would be processed. Then I got a notice that it was backordered and would be 2 to 7 business days. The middle of October I still had not heard anything and it was still saying backordered. I went back to the website to try to cancel the order, but could not find a place to do it. I emailed them through their "Contact Us" link and told them that I wanted to cancel the order immediately and that I would no longer be doing business with them. I also hinted that I would be reporting them for fraud. Amazingly, I got an email that night saying that my DVD shipped and I got it within a week.

I'll never order from them again. They are ALOT more expensive than other sites and even than the Disney Parks. The DVD that I ordered was reasonable, but other things that I have noticed like autograph books, etc are alot higher.
 
Isn't it interesting we have to go that far to get the items we purchased?? I don 't have anything good to say.. It took me making a complaint to the BBB....
