I'm not talking hip replacement, but surgery on the hip. I have a torn tendon
(like a rotator cuff tear, but not in my shoulder, in my hip) and only three
options for treatment. The first option, nitro patches aren't working out --
I'm having migraines and I think they're related to the treatment. The second
option is experimental injections of my own plasma. My insurance won't
cover them and I'm not really comfortable with the lack of research on them.
So, the third option is surgery.
Has anyone had hip surgery? I'm wondering mostly about the recovery. I've
read two to six weeks on crutches and some sources say no stairs, which
would be nearly impossible in my house. (I live in a 3 floor townhome. The 2nd floor is where the kitchen, livingroom and 1/2 bath are, so I could put a bed in the LR. But there are 8 steps to get to that floor.)
Thanks for any help you can give me!
