Has anyone had good luck getting HH @ 7 months?

I'm thinking about a trip for our school spring break the last week in March 2012. We are already going to WDW the first week in June '12 so thought we'd do something different for spring break. We'll want either a 1 or 2 bedroom, if that makes a difference. Anybody know how hard it is to get a week at HH at the end of March?

I don't think you will have a problem, especially if you are OK with a 2 bedroom. There are lots more of those than there are 1 bedrooms. (Of course, I assume you would call as soon as your 7 month iwndow opens).

Also, Easter is April 8 in 2012, so you won't be competing with that crowd.

Yes if you're not on either side of Easter, maybe you'll have luck. I tried last year for a 2 bedroom for the week before Easter, right at 7 months and the WL never came through.

I agree with eveyone else. We've booked a few times in March at 7 months, or even a month or two less, and for a 1 BR or a studio (there are fewer of those than of 2 BRs). Yet, we've never had a problem.

Have stayed at HH multiple times, never had a problem getting a reservation at 7 months. Once on the way back from up north didn't feel like driving all the home that night, called directly to the resort (MS was closed), and got a studio for that night - no problems.

Great! Thanks for the encouragement! I've set the alarm in my calendar to remind me to make that reservation as early as possible. Hopefully, we will spend spring break at HH. DH and I will also be celebrating our 50th birthdays (his 2 weeks earlier & mine the week following) AND our 22 wedding anniversary during spring break! I sure hope we can celebrate in HH!

We were at HH for the first time this year. Arrived the day after Easter and stayed 5 nights. I did not call right at the 7 month mark - maybe 6-1/4 months out. The planets must have been aligned on the day I called because I was able to get a Grand Villa for all my nights. I would have been happy with a 2br (we were a group of 8 - teens and adults) but I would have had to waitlist the first night. It was the CM who mentioned the GV - and I'm very glad she did. It worked out that we had enough points and the extra rooms made for a great vacation.

That is a fairly popular time but if you call 7 months out you should be OK. One thing that could get you depending on the year is the Heritage Golf Classic which I believe is the second week of April in 2012.
