I was just wondering if I should try again to get code BAT at CSR. Anyone had any luck on second attempts?

Did you try BAS?

If one day on your trip is a black out day and they need to charge you regular price, the computer will not be able to give you any discounted day. You will have to make split reservations. So make sure you don't have any black out days.

My first day is a blackout date. But I was trying for the remaining days and all that was left was suites and that's way much more than I was planning to spend.

I called on Saturday and was told that there were no standard rooms at the Beach or Yacht Club for Nov 20-23. I was looking at Disney's web site where standard was available for $289/night. The CSR couldn't explain why she couldnt pull up any rooms. So I called again about 5 minutes later and lo and behold standard rooms were available with the BAS code ($209/night). So call again-you may luck out!

Could someone tell me what the BAS code is? I checked on mousesavers and didn't see it listed.

BAS is the code that appears on Disney's website for the Fall/Winter discounts.

Desiree:

Definitely keep trying. I have always been able to get my rooms at the discount code, even after first being told not available. There are 800 CMs at peak time taking reservations. The room availability can change within minutes. I will call everyday, in the morning, to get what I want. Seriously, it has always worked. In fact, I just went through this with AZZ and finally, on the last day it was valid for booking, 8/28/04, I got what I wanted!!! If long distance is a concern, run your dates on their website first. If it shows availability, hurry and call them. Good luck.

By all means, keep checking with CRO! I was told last week that POR was only available for king room/water view for only 3 of the 4 nites I wanted, but I called Sunday AM and Viola! all 4 of my nites, 11/12-11/16/04, were available for standard room. The code I used was BAT and the CM told me that I got the last standard room for those dates. I know this was not available a couple days earlier. Keep trying and ask them to check each nite using the BAT or BAS codes.

You look like your going down the same day as me - Nov 27th. Check the expedia.com site. They will tell you what rooms are actually available. I was able to get Sun - Wed at WL for $132 a night . That's 4 of my 7 days. I will have 3 ressie numbers and may have to switch rooms twice, but it's worth it to me for the $200+ savings. I still booked with the CRO. I just said that I saw these on expedia and I was able to book on the phone.

Good luck -

DH said we could add a week-end IF I could get a Savannah view at AK. When I called CRO the only AP rate was for a deluxe and it still was $538 for two days, but they had a graet deal at POFQ. So I did what any Disney loving wife would do. I called hubby and begged.:p

Ten min. later when I called CRO back they had a Savannah view at AK for $337 for two nights. :)

Thank you all so much for suggesting to call back! Well I did and got a hefty discount of $427.39 using code BAT!

Thanks everyone!!!
