Has anyone had an Epcot wedding? Where did you have your reception?

I am not sure I want my reception at the VIP Living Seas Lounge. Since the wedding is in the morining, and I would like to have the reception at Epcot, I am not sure what my other options are.

My renewal ceremony is December 16 and we are having our ceremony at Sea Breeze Point @ the Boardwalk.

Our reception is being held at The Attic at the Boardwalk. It is a wonderful room located over the top of Jellyrolls. It has large windows overlooking the Boardwalk and the lake. It also has a private terrace. The seating is non-traditional. Lots of small tables, sofas, chairs, etc. They only do buffets, (but that is more our style) and they do offer upscale buffet items.

I don't know how large your party is, but this facility will fit up to 60. We just fell in love with it when we saw the pictures. It would be quite beautiful for a morning reception.

When we were looking for a reception site, we asked our sales manager, Bill, to email us pictures and minimum requirements for anything by Epcot. He sent lots of pictures which included a room that is in the Norway Pavillion (sparse, but light), a room at the back of Spaceship Earth (also large windows), a Disney Wonder room which looks like a big top tent (looked very dark), etc. We were looking for a slightly small venue so these looked good.

Oh, there is a "living room" area at the American Adventure. It is quite pretty and light. It also has a dining room off of it. And don't forget Ariel's at the Beach Club. It is light, bright, (fish motif), and has its own dance floor. It fits up to 100.

Just ask your sales manager or EM to send you all the info on the Epcot area.

Good Luck, Lisa :earsboy: :earsgirl:

We are having our vow renewal in Epcot and, like Lisa, we will be having our reception at the Attic. Hoping to use a friendship boat to transport our guests there for brunch!

My friend Stacy's recep was at Living Seas in the early pm.
She did a brunch style food which was a hit with us!
The aquarium was very nice backdrop. the kids loved it as they sat in the cubbies of the glass & watched all the fish swim around. The divers dove in & we got to see them feed the fish & they waved at us thru the glass.
Her cake was incredible! It was a seascape style. They did a great job with decorating it! Very easy to incorporate a Sealife/Ariel/Nemo theme.
