Has anyone had a three year old in the Oceaneer's Lab?

I'm a little concerned about how much help the counselors are for the young bunch. My daughter is 3 and still needs a little help with the potty. Are they cool with doing that?

my 3 year old adored the oceaneer's club, and still talks nonstop about it. the counselors were fabulous and made sure she had a great time.

Our kids loved the club at three. However, they don't help them with the potty. The kids have to be able to do that completely on their own.

When our dd was 2 1/2 and went to the club we made sure she had on elastic waist shorts that were easy up and down for her to handle on her own.

She loved the dcl club girls restrooms. Very pink/purple, princessy.

The CMs in the club were great and so attentive to the little ones on all our cruises.

Our ds was 3 1/2 on our 1/05 Western, and he LOVED :Pinkbounc the club, and did very well with the potty thing, except for once,.. :confused3
I got a page, and came to club to check it out, and found ds in the restroom with 2 male CM's cleaning up his dirty mess, after the embarrasment, I laughed because the CM's were decked out with gloves, masks and complete hazmat getup! :rotfl: :rotfl2: They gave us a long T-shirt for ds to wear so we could get out and go to our cabin with out to much attention. So rest asure, they use EVERY precaution in the event of an accident, ... as they should.

I am a little nervous because our DS will be almost 3 1/2 when we go too. Glad to hear that they have such a good time in the clubs and good counselors!

My daughter had trouble with getting her pants up after she went to the bathroom at the club and a CM helped her get them up but I think as far as going on the toilet etc they have to do that on their own.

Our daughter's first Disney cruise was also at age 3. She loved the Oceaneer's Club (the Lab is for older kids). The counselors are not supposed to go into the bathrooms to help. They will page you if there is a problem, and will clean up any accidents, as others have already mentioned. If you think she needs help, I recommend you take her to the bathroom in the club when she first arrrives to get her familiar with where things are. Come back in an hour or so that first day to see if she has to go. You can always take her yourself. After that first day, she may be fine by herself.

My DS will be a little less than a month shy of his third birthday when we are planning on going. IF ( :confused3 ) he is potty trained by that time, will he be allowed to go to the club alone, or are they very strict about the age bracket?

Jules, I believe if you are within one month of a birthday, they will allow your child to bump up. You may want to stay in the club and observe how he does the first time. The counselors are very good at making the kids feel comfortable.
