Has anyone had a problem with mosquitos in the parks?

I'm wondering if I should plan on bringing bug spray and/or making a trip back to the hotel to change into different clothing at night.

I'm currently being eaten alive by mosquitoes here in Arizona. I never really thought we had mosquitoes, but the 16 bites I've received over the past few weeks would suggest otherwise. I don't think I've received 16 bites TOTAL in my lifetime, so I'm really baffled right now.

Should I expect to see any at Disneyland? Please say no!

Here now and haven't seen one mosquito. Usually Mosquitos don't bother me but they love my daughter and she's not scratching either. You could get those citronella bracelets at target if you're worried though.

Oh I don't think I saw any bracelets! Where do you find them in the store? I was in the bug spray section at Target tonight and I bought one of those clip on fans, but I really don't want to walk around DL with it on me. LOL I believe they are getting me at night when I walk my dog, so I'm going to try using it then.

I'm the kind of person who can't be outside for 10 minutes without getting 16 bites, and I've never had a problem at DLR, so I think you'll probably be OK. Disney seems to do a pretty good job of mosquito abatement, even though they have tons of water. I think it's something they really focus on, because they don't want guests complaining about it!

Hope you have a great trip, and don't get bitten! Scratching can really put a damper on a trip!

Coming from Northern Alberta, we can not believe how almost-insect-free Disneyland is, it's AMAZING!! Like being indoors, seriously!! Not ONE mosquito bite, ever! We HAVE seen some wasps flying around the Mary Poppins food area, and sometimes in the flowers, but generally, nope, come and go as you please, and insects will stay away. Awesome, love it!

Edited to add: They are NOT rodent free!! I have seen both Mickey AND Minnie in the parks. ;) (No real animal mice, either. Just the ones in costume.)

We've never had them at DL.

You will find them if you go camping in the mountains of CA.
