has anyone gotten a code after being booked?

We're not traveling until December, but I'm wondering if anyone has ever gotten a code after being booked?

We are going in off-season and doing a package. (CSR + dining)

Has this ever happened to anyone?

Thats a great question. I was wondering that the other day too, if it would really benefit someone to book a little early, would it change thier chances of getting a personal pin code. I am kinda thinking it might just hurt thier chances. If you are already booked, why would Disney send you a personal pin to save yourself some money. Now getting a public code would be different.

Yes! We had booked WL back in the fall and I did just receive a PIN code by email! It has lowered our price quite a bit.

We are booked for the end of August 2009.

I was already booked at Pop when I got the most recent 40% off Pin, but my dates are not in the available date range. So it was a Pin that couldn't be used for the existing reservations.

we booked our trip and are set to stay at pop century in 10 days. today i received a pin code for kids stay free. it is good for march or april i think. to us this is a useless code. wish i could give it to someone. there is no way after a feb trip we could afford to go again in march. i would love to though

DH and I booked 10 nights at ASMu 1/4/09. It was for Sept. in the period for the 40% code. On 1/13/09 we got a pin code via email. We used it to upgrade to POFQ for $20/ night more.

This is a good question. I booked my vac in the hopes of a code. Nothing. Now I will probably cancel the booking. I remember reading a poster who called to check for a code and had nothing. She booked her vacation and put it on the 7 day courtesy hold...then a few days after booking she got a code. I really think it is hit or miss. I made sure when I spoke with the CM to say that unless I received any sort of discount (public OR pin code) I would be cancelling the trip. I said this to her multiple times making references to the economy so she might "put something in my file" if there is such a thing.

We went this past Dec. with the visa free dining code. Does anyone know if I book in Oct. now and visa offers this again can I add it to my ressie?

The answer I received is yes...IF you pay the $200 deposit using your Disney Visa card. I got this from another DIS board member and not from Disney Visa itself.
