Has anyone gone to a liquidation sale for model home decor?

There is going to be one of these locally this weekend, and I'm intrigued. Are these typically worthwhile? If you've gone, would you say that there were bargains to be had? This is a nice builder...their model homes look great. Not sure if it's worth the drive out there, if it's going to be a madhouse, if the prices will make it worthwhile, etc.

I've never been to one, but I'd say if you've got the time and inclination to find out, just go. We went to a furniture liquidation for a well-known brand once and while a lot of the stuff was too expensive for us still, we did walk away with a couple end tables that we are still using. And yes, there were a lot of people there, but it was very well-run. I'd imagine the same for your venue.

I have never been to a liquidation sale, but I do go to a resale store that carries model home decor. Prices are very low, so I would try it.

I have been to liquidation sales but not for a model home. I would be prepared for a madhouse but if its well run it will not be push and shove. You will have to stake your claim, even sitting on items, so it's not taken by someone else. Prices will be good to awesome depending on the quality of items. Is there a list of items you can research before the day of the sale?

Good luck and let us know how it went if you do go.
