Has anyone gone old school?

All of our trips are "unplanned", save for a couple of character breakfast ADRs. We do go in late April though when crowds overall tend to be much lighter, and we do have a handicapped child so are able to take advantage of the new (the name escapes me at the moment) Guest Assistance Card. So we wander the parks, go on things with very short standbys (CoP, Laugh Floor, etc.), while waiting for a return time on the guest assistance card.

Night time is a spectacular time to so on many attractions with zero waits, as long as you aren't attached to seeing parades, wishes, and fireworks. Last year, we rode Jungle Cruise, BTMRR, Haunted Mansion, Enchanted Tales with Belle, Little Mermaid, and a couple other things all in the span of about 2 total hours. Fireworks were exploding overhead while we were on Big Thunder Mountain, so that was kinda cool.

Just go, take it easy, relax, and watch all the people racing breathlessly from attraction to attraction, while you enjoy the atmosphere.

We plan on being there 8 AM til Midnight. So hopefully we get to experience the best of both worlds.

Pace yourselves because that's a long day. Even guests with the best intentions can eventually tire out and leave. That's part of the reason why the late night hours are the most efficient touring times.

Well, we did it! I'll do a longer trip report in that section later, but wanted to update this thread. We arrived at the MK at 7:20, and at RD went straight to BTMRR. We rode that three times, then headed to Splash, POTC, JK, and HM. From there we did IASW, Dumbo, Barnstormer and Indy Speedway. After eating, we did Space, Buzz, People Mover, then watched the parade. We then did CoP, Tea cups, then Winnie. We then did Little Mermaid, and Belles Enchanted tales before eating dinner. Then we rode the Carousel, and got in position for the parade and wishes. We stayed until close, riding Space and then Peter Pan. 16 hours, pretty much did everything, even on a busy day. (no 7DMT, even at 11:40 PM it had a legit 40 minute wait, as we could see the line. PP was posted 30 minute wait at 11:40, and we ended up waiting 35, so posting times were pretty accurate)
