Hi just wondreing who had used Air France?

We have to fly from Aberdeen so options are limited. We normally fly BA or BMI but have to do connecting flights at Heathrow. The only direct flight they offer from Aberdeen is with Air France but only takes 2 hours instead of about 6 hours. The only snag is the price!!!! We can get for £145 with BA or £259 with Air France.

It is a big family trip and my mum is contrubuting which is very nice and she likes the idea of flying direct but just wondered if the service etc was worth it as we cant fault BA

Any opinions appreciated

I normally fly to Paris (from Madrid) with Air France, and never had any problem with them. Never a delay, always on time. :woohoo:

And they are the only company (at least in Spain) that still offers breakfast/lunch/dinner on flight (for free, of course) :cheer2:

We always fly from Manchester using Airfrance and have never had any problems with them. I have never flown BA so don't know how they compare however I would think the extra in cost would be worth it just to fly direct.

We flew with them from Heathrow and DD was the only child on there! We got placed at the back of the plane away from all the business people and had about 3 rows of seats to ourselves!!! :thumbsup2
We had a meal which was ok and DD was given a little green fleecy blanket - cute! :rotfl:
They are pricey but the service was good and we didn't feel crammed in like we did in the teeny weeny Flybe plane! :guilty: :rotfl:

we flew air france 2 years ago when we went to Paris. it was great! the food was actually very good.

We flew with them last week and were given very good service. We could even print our boarding passes and just hand in luggage at the airport to save queueing.

I would pay the extra to get a direct flight. :thumbsup2

We always fly airfrance from Edinburgh to Paris. Find the meals on the way back a bit minging but otherwise their service is good. Only complaint was being made to run from check in to the gate to get us on the plane and then sat on the runway for over an hour.

Thanks for all your answers.I think we are going to have to go with BA again. My mum had offered to pay for all our flights but as it is a family holiday and there will be 7 of us that is allmost £800 of a difference. She could have another holiday for that.

At least we are going to DLP again.

That's the same reason why we go ABN - LHR, LHR - CDG. If only Air France was cheaper :)

One day we will be able to go direct. We are 1hr 15 mins travelling time from Aberdeen to begin with so it all adds up to a very long day.Worth it though :)

Big difference!

We like Air France's non-stop service from Los Angeles to Paris.

Have flown with Air France once - part of the (very very disorganised) Walt Disney Travel Company package trip!

Only complaint about the flight was they had overbooked the flight home (as are all flights i think?) so we had to wait 3 hours in CDG for the next flight
