Has anyone flown Air Canada Rouge?

I'm flying on Air Canada Rouge in a week and I've read a couple of bad reviews. How bad is it?!!

My husband is a bigger guy (and will contort and bruise himself to try to not impose on others) and he received hands down THE rudest "service" on that airline. So bad that he wrote them after his flight and he never does that.

Pretty bad. It's Air Canada's budget arm. So you get nickel and dimed for everything and everything is pretty bare bones. It's tolerable for short haul flights, but I won't use them for anything over 2 hours.

Avoid them if you can.

We've taken it a few times.
No entertainment unless you BYO an iPad or something since you have to have your own device and use their app, as well as what others have said above.
It's pretty bare bones but it gets you there.
I prefer it to Southwest, but it's worse than the regular AirCanada. WestJet is still my favourite.

We flew from Toronto to Orlando in December. We had no problems with the service side, but the seats are a very tight fit. Our oldest son is 6'5" (and we are over 6'). It was uncomfortable for us, and unbearable for him. We will not use Rouge again unless we can get business class.
