We print ours. I don't know if you can have them mailed.

Another one here who has used them with much success! I usually give the certificate to the server at the beginning of the meal so they can figure out anything they need to while we are enjoying our food.

Used it at multiple places here in Dallas with no problems. I only buy them when they are on the 90% of sales :)

Great site!!

We use them all the time. They REALLY stretch our eating out budget. :)

I've never had a problem with using the certificates. I try to only buy when they are 70% off or more. 90% is my stock up time.

Also sometimes the resturaunt you want will be sold out... usually right around the 1st they start over.

Just read the fine print and you are good to go.

Oh and you print them out when you are done paying... easy peasy!

You can use only per party, so even if you're group is at separate tables if they know you're together they will only let you use one at a time. As for how you get them, you just buy them, get an email and print them out. :) I don't even think you need the email, the first time I bought some I just logged into my account and printed the certificates.

I used to use them but stopped when one year we took out friends and tried to use a certificate we had purchased that weekend and the vendor said they didn't accept them. When we contacted restaurant.com they wouldn't refund the money and told us we should dispute with the restaurant in the end we took the loss but never again.

I use them all the time. My daughter and I have Wednesdays off and we use them to go to lunch. We also use them when the family goes out to dinner. Since thats 6 of us it saves alot. Sometimes places close down but since I use my coke rewards or wait till the website has a sale (sometimes 70% off) to buy them I'm really not losing much money.

Please tell me about the once per month rule.

I just bought 2 House of Blue certificates and the fine print states that the certificates can be used once per month. Would that be calendar month or simply once in 31 days? We are hoping to use 2 in the same week (but part of the week will be in May and part of the week will be June).

Any thoughts on this would be really appreciated.

Thank you

I've gone to some places more than once during a stay, but maybe I was just lucky

What a bummer! I've not ever had that happen. I did have a friend that bought a GC for a restaurant that closed. She called Restaurant.com and got her money refunded with no problem.

Another restaurants.com fan! I have been using them for about a year. I have never had a problem and would reccommend them to anyone!

Current code is SUPPER for 50% off. The 80% off ended last night. They've also added more restaurants. :)

I have a few coupons for restaurants I have to use from restaurants.com. I have also been buying certificates from Groupon.com. They have deals on everything from dining to a magarita lake cruise which I am taking with my DH for our anniversary.

Thanks for all the great help on this thread! I recently signed my kids up for the Free Summer Bowling. If you buy the adult package to bowl with the kids for $25 then you receive a $25 credit for restaurant.com, which I did, but I just didn't know anything about the site. Again, thanks! :thumbsup2

I just wanted to thank you all too. I've heard of this site but wasn't sure how "legitimate" it was. Based on your reviews, I will try them, next time they are 80% off.

Going to check out which restaurants in our area...

I LOVE restaurant.com

I have used it dozens of time never had a problem except one restaurant closed the restaurant.com gave me a credit to get a certificate at another place. Just read the restrictions, every restaurant is different.

One place didn't have restriction that is had to be on food so we used it towards drinks. That was in NYC, we sat in the lounge with the great Time Square view and had cocktails, another place we just got dessert.

I have used it in Florida, New York City, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, Providence and my home town

I used to buy from Restaurant . com a LOT until the following things changed:

* Most restaurants are now $15 for a $25 gift card (It used to be $10 for a $25 gift card)
* Some really good restaurants pulled out of the program saying it was not worth it for them/too much of a hassle. I don't understand what they mean by that.
* Most restaurants I want to purchase from are always sold out.

Don't get me wrong, I still would recommend it to others. It just used to be a much better deal for our family.

I just found out about this, too. A gal I work with uses it all the time and swears by it. Sadly, the restaurant I wanted a certificate for is sold out. Does anyone know how often they reload certificates????
