Has anyone ever used hotwire?

I think I might have found a way to save some money! on hotwire.com if you type your destination as Disneyland Paris it comes up with 2 different hotels. One is a 3 star and the ohter a 3.5 star, both in the Disneyland area (ignore the ones at CDG airport and other areas). For the dates I'm looking at the 3.5 star is available at $69 a night (less than £40 in real money!)

The only problem is that it doesn't tell you the name of the hotel. Apparently this is how they offer it so cheap. From the description (swimming pool, fitness centre etc...) I'm guessing it's one of the better good neighbour hotels (holiday inn, Radisson, Dream Castle, Explorers, but not Kyriad as the facilities don't match)

They tell you the name as soon as you've paid (after which you can't cancel). Which leads me to the question; has anyone booked a hotel on hotwire for Disney? If so, what hotel was it?!?

I keep going to push the confirm button but chicken out everytime!

It's a good price, as long as you don't mind exactly where you end up!! Wherever it is, it sounds nice - I reckon you should go for it!!!

I've booked Holiday Inn for 2 nights in September for 71 Euros per night through their own website which I think is a pretty good deal. I would pay 2euros more to know for definate where I'm staying. I think there are also quite a few in the Val d'Europe area that the Hotwire deal could be.

It comes down to how bothered you are about the actual hotel. After all, you don't spend that much time in the hotel when you're in the best place in the world!!

That's 71 euros, this is 69 dollars, so it is a bit of a difference (especially over 4 nights when you're on a very tight budget!)

I'll probably book it within the next week so I'll let you guys know which it is. If it's one of the better ones I'll be very happy as I'm quickly becoming addicted to Disney. This trip will be my 3rd this year and I've already booked for another in January!

It is very similar to Pricelines 'name your own price', they both work on the same system. I've had a good look around the priceline site and couldn't find any Disney mentioned in the 'name your price' section. Does anyone know if they still do it?

Sorry, yes - I didn't read the small print! That would make quite a difference on 4 nights. I think you definately should book it. How bad could it be? Please do let us know the outcome.

Edit the Dreamcastle & Holiday inn I think are both 4 ****s

At a guess I'd bet it was the Explorers, but could be wrong.
